Lou, I live in New York and must tell you that you seem so capable with everything you do for yourself - in a foreign country where you don’t speak fluent Japanese. Yet you can do everything, use appliances, shop, cook and clean. I can’t imagine most Americans your age who could handle half of what you can do.

God bless you Lou! You bring us so much pleasure as we watch your daily life. We live in Texas, in the States, and our whole way of life is crumbling. It was a challenge before, because we are in the so-called middle class, but now we face even bigger challenges…As are so many of our fellow global citizens, since we are all in this together. Your life helps us to clear the clutter for a bit, helps us to remember “the good old days” when our lives were so much simpler. Thank you for taking the time to share your life. We are very proud of your success! ❤

Threw God out of the equation is what happened sad to say and absolutely no disrespect intended. Just saying what is clearly causing the downfalls in America from a vantage point outside of your country. Scripture warned about it too. Hoping you are safe though and remind yourself who gave everything for us all, clearly you do by mentioning the world in your comments. 👍🇨🇦💞🌷🌷🌷🕊️

@@L3MoN_P13 How did a video about Japanese everyday life so quickly devolve into what's wrong with North America? A little less ego out in the world, please. It's inappropriate and selfish. It's also why people are annoyed with us. And please keep your scripture to yourself. I'm sure you also get upset when someone else's religion is presented as if it's the only religion, with all others being inferior. It may be how you see it (as we all do) but I you will not be making any friends. Which means you will not be broadening your perspective. Isn't that the point of being here? And gosh, so much love for Texas! I appreciate now more than ever your global worldview. Hello from crazy Florida!

@@L3MoN_P13 fair enough. ill give you the context. you said america is in a "downfall" because of god, so you "threw him out of the equation". seems pretty JUDGEMENTAL to me. elevating yourself above god, and judging HIM, thinking you have the right way and have it all figured out. absolutely no offense intended! everyone is on their own journey. but to pull that out on a random youtube comment on an innocent video just seems...well, i don't know. thats why i commented. lots of people live great lives without acknowledging god, i hope you are but i also hope that you someday realize there is no math and no equation without him, the one who created math in the first place :)

I just recently found your channel and now have watched most of your videos already. I live in America. I enjoy seeing the differences, especially at the grocery stores and the foods you eat. We buy carrots and celery in bunches, not single pieces -- I found that difference very funny. I am amazed at how well you are doing for being young and going to a different place, with different culture and language -- don't ever doubt yourself, you've already done more than most people do in their lifetime. I look forward to each new video. Congratulations on your KZfaq plaque for 100,000 subscribers!!!

Interesting! I live in the USA as well, but we can buy carrots and other vegetables one at a time where I live. Yes, celery tends to be sold in a bundle, but carrots, potatoes, onions etc are all available in singles where I live!

Hi Lou, congratulations on your 100,000 subscribers ! You have accomplished so much in your young life and it is important that you recognize your achievements. Moving to a different country, alone, not knowing the culture or language is very courageous and admirable! You have transitioned beautifully. You are independent and very clear on your values and goals. I so much enjoy your videos. You think everything through before you make a final decision including what you buy at the food store for the meals you intend to make. Your are taking very good care of yourself from getting enough rest, pacing yourself with your activities and eating well balanced meals. Your family must be so proud of you just the way all of us are proud of you. Your videos are interesting and at a pace that is relaxing and enjoyable. God bless you and remember to be proud of yourself! Linda from Las Vegas, Nevada USA 😘🙏❤

Dear Lou, Congratulations on achieving 100,000 subscribers and for letting us celebrate with you! Actually, I see that you are actually at 114,000 subscribers! That is terrific. Thank you for your answers to the Q & A. Here in the U.S. the work ethic is very strong too. Some employers expect a lot. Not that high expectations from an employer is necessarily bad, but family and personal time are important too. I am also sorry that getting health care is so hard for you due to language barriers. I hope that has gotten a bit easier over time? I also want to say that it seems to me that your employer thinks a lot of you. That is something to be proud of. And lastly, I know you took on working alone in Japan to help your family and I think that's terrific. Says a lot about your love for them. Thank you for all your hard work in making these videos. They are really terrific and I enjoy them so much. Take care, your friend from the U.S.

When you answered the negative person who said your videos were boring. You handled it very well. There will always be detractors when you put yourself out there on social media. In all honesty, that person can choose not to subscribe or watch, and they won’t find it boring. I enjoy watching you run errands and cook food. However, you need to show more confidence. Not too many young people can or want to prepare their own meals and save money. Great Job!
