I think it's all spot on when talking about hiding your brightness. So many Aries I know, myself included have spent most of their lives dimming down their light. I think partly because we are problem solvers, so spend much of our time focused on other people and sorting out their issues, or are afraid that the world isn't able to handle who we really are. As I've gotten older I've come to the realization that nobody should feel shame for who they are, what gifts they have, what they bring to the world. We need to honor ourselves and the talents we possess.

Paul , when I was young in the 50’s we were admonished to be quiet and seen , but not heard! It was mostly all of our parents and our generation was taught! If our parents were punished for being too laud or expressive then it makes it obvious that our parents thought this was THE way to raise children? Right? It squelched many a dream and hope for too many kids! Lack of confidence and low self esteem was the end result! I had a beautiful good enough soprano voice I was told by many outside my home, but in my family there was no encouragement or compliments for me! Dad left us when I was 11 , nothing was ever enough, I made sure that I fined school and went in to college thinking I’d get a yay ! As no one in my immediate family had even a high school diploma, but it just wasn’t a time when kids were special at least not in my home!

I'm 54, I grew up the exact same way and sang as well. I wanted to be an opera singer and although I was quite good I wasn't encouraged at all. It's hard to think about some times but it's life. We go on saggitarius toughness❤

I grew up in the '60's, and it was an old saying my mom said maybe twice, but we knew my mom wasn't going to discipline for not doing so. We just needed to realize not to be interruptive by being heard or use our indoor voices. though we weren't singers. I had a cousin whose voice sang almost like Steve Perry. I had to learn it's not polite to ask questions when overhearing gossip. Many old sayings, some just so wrong though. We were always told we have our own opinion, and everyone in our family has their right to express anything.

I'm always fascinated with this topic Paul as it brings me back to the Jedis from Star wars. They wore a cloak to mask their Jedi Force so they can go undetected and not attract their enemies who can sense them nearby. How do we cloak ourselves when friend or foe can sense you without dimming your light so much that you might lose your path? 👑💜🧿

Excellent metaphor! I had never thought about it that way, but you’re so right and it resonates! I’ve actually always identified with some of the Jedi stuff (guess it’s my inner protector, seeker, mystic, or maybe just geek haha). This whole inner light concept has been on my mind a lot the last few years, as well as the question you present at the end. It’s been very difficult sometimes and I’ve been trying to allow myself to let go of disappointment with situations I must face where I’m misunderstood or judged, or basically “told” I’m shining too brightly by being myself… because some find it intimidating for some reason. Maybe it illuminates their own darkness? I honestly don’t really know, but I can’t fix everything or spend so much energy on others’ opinions/perceptions. I’ve gotten better at balancing it, but it was brutal for awhile. This reading really hit the nail on the head for me.

Paul, you've described my life since childhood. Way ahead of my peers early on, resentment and jealousy was present through many years. I have been told I should use my talents "quietly". That was then, this is now. It's never been my problem, it's everyone else's problem. Outside of tarot/astrology, my archetype personality, BMTI result and life path number have all been been in my favor but never my God. Grateful to God for my successes and my life. Fortune waits for no one. In my closed community I have friends that know me and I know them. Amazing how things change as you get older....
