My mum sadly passed suddenly and unexpectedly on her birthday from an abdominal aortic aneurysm on 10th January 2022, she swore up and down she was a size 14 when she got married, I told her she absolutely was NOT a size 14! After she passed, I found her going away outfit in her wardrobe (for those who don’t know, it was common in the 60’s when my mum got married to have a going away outfit you’d change into in the afternoon before jetting off on your honeymoon!), I measured it, she was between a size 8-10!! I think us women get the raw end of the deal, you could be a size 18-20 in one shop, a 14 in another, & shopping for vintage styles is an absolute nightmare because of ‘old sizing’ ! Why can’t one size BE one size? A 16 across the board? Drives me crazy! I’m plus sized, I was a bigger girly in school, and I lived in T-shirts and jeans because I’d lost all confidence and no shops sizing was the same! Your charity shop pieces are beautiful! Xx

Your purple dress is lush! What a lovely day 😍V interesting what you said about Marilyn Monroe. I remember her dress had to be greatly altered when Kim Kardashian wore it to the Met Gala and she got lots of criticism because the stitching got damaged afterwards!! 😬

Thankyou! Yes and many were saying it's a treasure that shouldn't have been altered. Which I think is probably right as it's quite historical. It's quite obvious now when I see Marilyn at her largest that's she's clearly no larger than a 12 nowadays xxx

I think the schools are a bit cruel with the treats as my son suffers with seasonal asthma which means during winter he misses quite a bit of school being poorly so he never gets the opportunity to go in these treat trips due to poor attendance it’s a shame cause it’s not his fault but it really upsets him every time he misses out on them

I’ve been saying that for years, I’m 72 and was always a size 12 as a teenager and in my 20s. I’m exactly the same weight now but my clothes size is 8-10. 🤣🤣🤣.
