This is my version of a prayer I read in Tim Keller's book on Proverbs. Lord, you call us to careful, painstaking due diligence in all things, and then you assure us that it is all under your sovereignty and according to your plan. Strengthen awareness in our minds and hearts for both the solemn responsibility you have given us and the wonderful assurance that you are ultimately and always in charge. We cannot live well without both. In the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, Amen.
