I like seeing you both be critical and comparative since you've flown so much. It's useful to those of us who haven't flown as much. A video feels also a lot more real when everything is not described as either the BEST EVER or not described at all.

For your rating system you should rate each flight.... then separately rate the airline based on all the flights you have taken from that airline. If that makes any sense. May take some time to get an airline rating since you would need multiple ratings and then average them but I feel like depending on the plane the airports etc.... the "flight" can be so different. Thanks for all your videos. They make me smile!

I really like the rating system!! because even if it's flawed like you said, it's a fun way to discuss all of the aspects of the flights and compare them. I think it's great! I love it!!

It’s helpful to remind people that you have to apply and have a conditional approval before you do Global Entry on arrival. But once you have that, it’s super easy and a great travel hack!

As someone who has never flown internationally, your reviews and things to watch and ask for helps me for when I actually get to travel internationally one day!

Have just flown Air France from London via Paris to Johannesburg return in the new business class. We were able to get row 1, which has double the amount of leg room compared to the rest of the cabin (row 9 also). Also has sliding doors to the seat. Amazing. Pre ordered our meals which were equally amazing. Crew on the short haul flights were exceptional. Long haul crew were good. Love your reviews 👍🏼

For your next Air France flight you guys should try out their La Premiere first class...I'm so curious how it compares to other First Class experiences you've had like Emirates and Etihad!

Global entry after 2 months abroad this summer saved me waiting in a 2 hour line!! I truly walked up and immediately to the baggage carousel! You get tsa precheck too so definitely worth it!!!

I just flew BOS to CDG in business class, and it was great. The small touches like espresso on demand, super soft eye shades, made all the difference

I like the reviews! We took Air France business class year before last. My seat wasn’t as old as Kara’s. We paid $6k I think. Next year I will be booking AF business with points for 2025 because of travel hacking I have learned from you guys! LAX to Milan with stopover in Amsterdam! Can’t wait!

First wanted to say I love you guys and love your content, been a fan for many years so only love here :) I think it’s ok to be more critical of business/first class seats. At the end of the day, most users are business travellers and most users have spent thousands on the seat. Your Air France seat was good for $270, but for $2000 it was pretty terrible.

I love the comparisons, it helps me when trying to decide between certain travel options especially if you plan on spending large amounts of points (although I agree that any business class is better than economy!). Also I just did my interview upon arrival yesterday and it was super easy; took about 5 min to get through. There were other people ahead of me getting it for the first time and they took more like 15 min. They just asked me what I do for a living, where I was flying in from, took my photo and finger prints, and I was done! By the time I walked though, my luggage had just reached the carousel. Highly recommend!

I will never understand how air miles/points works BUT will happily try and listen to Nate explain it anyway.😊

Love the content as usual! The business class seats looked very comfy! Air France has become my favorite to fly*! The asterisk is because I was able to get round trip La Premiere from SAN (San Diego) to OTP (Bucharest, RO) and back for the price of their business class. The ground service was amazing (luxury car transports on the tarmac to your la premiere lounge, gate and hotel and back if you're staying close to the airport). The food and champagne IMO was over the top (which may be because I've never had fuagra and caviar); there was probably too much food and champagne if there's such a thing. I will, however have to fly another carrier soon as I still have yet to fly on a 747 or an A380 (or A350 for that matter).

Maybe look at the ASQ international survey and check out the questions they ask. These surveys are completed by passengers and rated out scale of 5.

My last flight on air france was around 12 years ago. The interior of the plane was falling apart. Panels fell down during the flight. I see nothing has changed.

so, useful tip[, if you`re flying from tahiti to uk/europe, book air france all the way to paris (CDG). in LAX you don`t have to go through passport control as they put you in a side room then you get back on the same plane. no queues, no hassle and you`ll never miss that lax to paris connection even if the flight is late. may cost a bit more, but so worth it. also food is good in economy with them on that flight too fwiw

Took that flight in Business and the plane is a bit dated...but loved the 1-2-1 configuration where every seat is an aisle. My crew was amazing and the food was really great!

Your experience was so much better than mine, my flight original flight was cancelled, I had to fly back 24 hours earlier, when got on board I was told off for not telling airline I had been rebooked and needed a vegetarian meal. After dinner I asked for digestive, I was offered cognac, I asked what else did they have…cognac. I was on 787 from CDMX to CDG, my original flight should have been CDMX to AMS. Again it is privilege to be able to fly business class however when you pay full fare you expect it be perfect. Oh plus my seat was broken.

I think the rating system is helpful. Since I've only started this year traveling with points, I've only done one biz class flight on Turkish airlines(booking with them @#$wtf) and premium econ with Virgin air. Ask the tricks, tips and review are appreciated. We did our interview when we came back from Israel in June- so easy.

We flew economy Air France last month and it was so awful. We were also on an old plane and there was no air control at our seats. It was SO hot on the flight to the point I couldn’t sleep. The rest of the flight was very subpar compared to other international carriers. We won’t be flying Air France again 😂

Air France is known for going on strike sometime during the month of July just about every year. How do I know this? Well, I've flown Air France 3 times-every July for three years in a row and a strike happened every single time. I was told the first two times that the strikes were not the normal. Clearly they were. The first experience resulted in me almost missing a Vikings Rhine River cruise. I departed from Munich and was set arrive in Amsterdam at 7:30 am and the ship was to depart at 4:45 pm. I got on the ship with less than 10 minutes to spare. I now make it a practice to always arrive the day before a scheduled cruise trip. It relieves travel stress, but it is annoying that I have to pay extra(hotel/food) and that I can't count on travel services to be decent. I also will not ever book a flight with Air France in July. All three planes were in the same semi run down condition.

Perhaps have a ranking system at the end of each video to show where this flight stacks up against other premium flights you guys have taken. Or perhaps give a final conclusion being...worth using points or just stick with economy?

I like the ratings :) You are also (extremely) frequent flyers so it comes from that perspective which is great. Plus those of us who are fans know you are really good people, and wouldn't unnecessarily add a negative rating. Plus we know it's a rating of that particular flight and crew etc. Sooooo what I'm trying to say is, ur the best - my happy place on KZfaq - and when you come to South Africa again (for the Comrades Marathon Nate!!) then I will be there cheering you on with lots of coffee for Kara :)

No if this is your rating on how you felt your flight was then it’s spot on. Don’t second guess yourself because you’re always going to find out later you regret it. With the seats and food and laboratory’s in that shape in business class it’s not good. People pay thousands of dollars for the luxury of flying in style. It should not have seats falling apart or tape on faucets.

I wouldn't score the security as a part of the airline. I would if at all rate the airport. Not a bad video overall. Its the first time ive watched your channel. Not bad.

I'm curious about the food, they didn't have a vegetarian option standard? We paid extra for vegetarian food (i think it was on KLM?) and they just had two regular options, chicken or vegetarian. I’m realizing there is a possibility that the reno flight was…a flight I was on..which means I was in an airport with Kara and Nate…I can’t decide if I’m disappointed or excited by that

I just wish Nate would wear a collared shirt and Kara not tank tops when in biz class (or even coach actually). I’m 69 so I simply remember the great days of flying. But to be sure I’m glad we don’t wear suits any longer either !

You guys should do a rating for each class seperately. Economy, business ect.. So an economy can have an 100 rating showing that for economy it is the best even though it's obviously wouldn't be as good as business. But that way ppl can see what is the best flight for the price/class that they can afford.

I love these reviews but I wish you guys would be brutally honest. I feel like you give higher reviews than is warranted because you are nice people who don't want to come across entitled, which i totally respect. However for someone like me who probably will only afford business/first class once in my life, id be PISSED if I had a broken chair and taped up sink(a broken chair should be like a 2 at that price point lol). For those of us who don't get to travel regularly(that's by no means an insult im so happy for you guys, im just giving perspective) we need folks like you who have the experience that we can trust, to keep it real so we can pick the best option since it takes so long to save.just my opinion and as I said thats no shade at all I love you guys, please continue to rate things!

This is all fine and dandy but at some point you have to meet the spend thresholds for each credit card before you get the bonus points, miles etc. Once you’ve used up your bonus miles, you either have to spend a ton of $ or keep looking for new creditcards to apply for? What a headache. Also fare drop not such a good deal for Canadians. Very few flights are cheaper as most Canadian cities do not have a ton of flights fromUScarriers.

Considering the state of the seats, the tape in the bathroom and refilling the water bottle, I think you were extremely generous with your ratings. I would have given much lower ratings (as in 3's and 4's) for the state of that aircraft.
