Most Expensive Stamps Of Germany | 100 Rare German Postage Stamps Worth Money

This video is about 100 Most Valuable and Rare Postage Stamps of German Empire. The German Empire issued its first postage stamps on Jan 1st 1872. This was a set of 11 stamps which featured the German Eagle with a Small Shield in an Embossed Center. Prior to 1872, stamps had been issued by individual German States, Bavaria being the first in year 1849.
Old German Postage Stamps are very valuable. There are three major Germania types with numerous minor variation. There are also multiple surcharges and overprints. This results in hundreds of Collectible stamps. Many of the German stamps are unique and are quite affordable with retail prices running from a few to several dollars in auction markets.
In my video I have briefly discussed each stamp. I hope you will enjoy the video. Values mentioned in this video in each description box is only for that adjacent particular stamp.

How did you get the value of the 1980 Olympic games vakue at 22k? Just curious I have that stamp isn't it very common and only worth a few dollars? I don't know?

The Olympic Games semi postal stamp, printed in 1980, was printed but immediately removed before the issuance day. This occurred because there was a boycott that happened during the Summer Games in Moscow to protest Soviet military activity in Afghanistan. A few of these un-issued stamps were in the possession of a German postal official. They were accidentally used on mail and stamp collectors later recovered the stamp. The last known sold Olympic Games semi postal stamp from 1980 was offered for $22,460 by Gaertner in 2017.

additional information of a German collector: in Germany there are several specialists who will proof your rare stamps: Therefore you find a small sign with the name on the stamp. Here sometimes BPP is mentioned. or a certification. Same of the shown stamps as the Hepburn or the Olympia stamp or the kerstfeest are never official issued and are very rare. Only a small amount of them are known. In most cases it isn't clearly shown why the stamps are rare. More Background information is necessary. btw. this is no discussion here as someone reads the written words given on the right side. in most cases too fast while the interested viewer is left behind with a high amount of undeclared and cryptic abbreviations, if you are a German native and even for english natives. Also the pronunciation of the German words are awesome - wrong. Example Nr. 10: It's Baden and not Bahen! and kreu-zer and NOT krju-zer. in 1850 all stamps are unperforated. Perforation appeared in the 1860s.

@@claudiocarrieri3862 Bueno tiene que haber algún acontecimiento importante histórico que se refleje en el sello ,o una cosa específica que pasó a la ora de sobrecargarlo o un error de impresión puede haberse vendido en una subasta , pero eso no quiere decir de tenga ese valor ,eso es más bien para intencibar el coleccionismo educativo , pero no sé porque sería rraro , alomejor de tanto repetirlo se vuelve raro 😂, también hay otros medios digitales que poner sus precios ,un mercado libre , pero esos precios no tienen ningún valor más bien son especulaciones , haber si algún casa fortuna cae en el jamó , pero no es este canal ,esto piden ser subastas que hayan hecho en EU que donde mejor se venden los sellos

Yo me estoy metiendo en el tema y es muchísimo más complicado de lo que creí, son infinidad de aspectos que hacen al valor del sello: lo que vos citás, el dentado, tipo de impresión, cantidad emitida, sello de agua, centrado de la imagen, tipo de papel, estado de conservación, matasellado, etc etc... Para que un sello sea valioso se deben reunir un montón de aspectos que tienen que ver con todas esas cuestiones, sí sólo uno de esos falla, el sello no vale nada, o muy poco. Obviamente si tenés la suerte de encontrarte con un sello que tenga una falla muy visible, como por ejemplo la imagen invertida, seguro que es de alto valor. Gracias y saludos!!

@@claudiocarrieri3862 Pero hay sellos que aunque no estén invertidos cuestan cantidad , también está el catálogo para guiarse , pero los más complejos son los americanos que parecen iguales y uno cuesta un dólar y otro 10000 y son la misma figura , tienen grill ,el sello de agua la cantidad de dientes ect , los otros países son más fácil
