Actually that is false imprisonment which involves totally blocking a person's from leaving a place, by the use confinement or threat of force. Kidnapping specifically involves moving a victim to a different location by force.

False imprisonment is more when you physically stop someone leaving some place, i.e you lock someone in a room against their will and prevent them from leaving. It would be akin to protestors completely surrounding a van stopping the driver moving in any direction, that might be treated as "wilful obstruction of the highway" instead due to the fact it's on a road but it could be considered for "false imprisonment".
