You glossed over the part about your dad and uncle going to get the drive motor but this is one of those things that I Love about family farms ❤. When things come to push and shove then it’s nice to know that you have other family members who will step in to help out. I believe that most city people never even think about it but that’s what makes family farms the best 😊
@ohmbug104 ай бұрын
I've lived in an area most of my life that's both rural and residential and like being around the farmers the best. They are more aware of what the community needs and willing to help each other out. Many of the city people who move out here are very self-centered. I have met a few city people that fit right in though.

Hope you record and give us a lot of footage from the road trip. Love seeing other parts of the country. We had total eclipse here in SW Indiana. The strangest thing was it looked like sunset in every direction. The temps dropped from 82 to 68. Have not seen sunshine since and had 3-4" of rain. God bless your trip with safety.

Good morning from Wisconsin. I know the price of scrap metal has increased recently so it was good to see that Brent got a decent dollar value for that old barn cleaner . You could definitely tell that you were going through an eclipse because your video was a little darker but still nice and clear. Sometimes an eclipse can affect an animal’s behavior. Your girls might have reacted to it by laying down and chewing their cud. Anyway I hope we get to see your video in 20 years when the next eclipse comes. Keep smiling, keep farming. Really enjoy your positive attitude about everything. 🐄🚜🌞😉

Hi Tay, just wanted to let you know when our reverse curve brook out on our barn cleaner we had to wait till the cement to cure like 3 days I got a 6” x6 foot grain auger set it in gutter and ran manure into sister bucket. This way you just push the manure into it instead of shoveling it out, we also ran water to help loosen it through auger worked good.good luck and hope you have a safe successful travel👍👌🙏🏻

A vet taught me long ago if a calf is backwards rotate the calf a quarter of a turn and pull to the side and down keeps the cows hips and calf' s hips from locking. Just something to think about, I think it helps.Good luck with the chain replacement .

Veterinary advise, chains are way easier on the calves legs (chains allow blood flow while twine cuts off circulation and crushes the veins abd arteries), you put the first loop above the hock and the second loop between the hock and hoof to reduce stress. Secondly you never pull down on a backwards calf, you pull upwards until the ribs are coming out then pull downwards. (Same with horse, sheep, goats)

We were in the center of occlusion too. Remarkable how there seemed to be a 360 degree sunset. Did you notice that? First time for me to see a FULL solar eclipse. Not just a scientific experience. People at the Indy Motor Speedway were really moved with the combo of music at the same time. Of course, scripture calls these things "signs" too. Plenty out there regarding the meaning for the US. Good job for your general git 'er done attitude. Just enjoy your perspective on the work and your passion. Definitely female and all good!

If you think you're making money with scrap, wait and see when you buy new it almost doubled or more since covid. I would of build up welds on worn surface one by one on those links if they aren't corroded to much unless you have a great deal on this chain but it sounds it has short wipers. Good question, first crop is longer stemmed than second crop but it’s also lower in protein. I guess if I had to pick one I’d say first crop would be the preference. It is vital to their gut health and without it they wouldn’t have proper digestion. Thanks!
