Correction Josh! D stands deep spool not low speed, this is a mid speed reel for Daiwa 5.2:1!🙂

How do you think it compares to the Certate LT? Magnesium seems like it'd be 'worse' for saltwater?

This would be over the Saltiga? Or is more the flagship for freshwater? Seems like a good reel but would like to compare on a Stella for in size and price.

Good reel , BUT daiwa doing their best to make the unfriendly reels for individual serviceable plus many other things , they’ve nailed the designe pretty well , it’s not new though ( vs/zb) .

I’m still a little upset with Daiwa because their Australian product line is the best of their market. The Aus rods are sturdier, beefier and still lighter. All I can say is wtf Daiwa!? With all the big game the US has, inland, off shore and in the pacific/Caribbean territories, you’d think we’d be first on the list to serve! I don’t understand tbh and I’m getting a little tired of ordering overseas and having a rod of all things held up in customs for 3 months past the ship date. Do better Daiwa! I may switch brands as I’m getting frustrated with the company and these purely symbolic overly expensive art pieces made only “because I can”. When the saltigas are already flying off the shelves. I may switch brands in the future if they keep up this way. They could have made stuff like this yrs ago when van staal was doing all metal frames.
