Gab from ISO Fishing Lifestyle provides some insight into the reel, I will explain why I chose the Daiwa Saltiga 2020 (14000 XH) over the Shimano Stella 2019 SWC (14000 XG), and my experience in purchasing the reel.
Hope can be useful if you're deciding to purchase a top end reel.

Thanks for your review bro, I also thought about brand loyalty & all the other factors you talked about. But seeing a lot of fishermen out there with the Saltiga just made a lot of sense & your review was the hammer that nail needed. 🙏🏽☝🏽😎

Mabrouk bro. Definitely much love for the saltiga hopefully you see plenty of big Gt’s & tuna on it. But $1 coffee bro from 7/11 I’m definitely not feeling that. That’s almost against the law 🚫🤔😂

Great video!!! I love Saltiga and I am interested on get one of this new reel. However, on older Saltiga models (2015, 2010 and Z), the paint is not completely corrosion resistant, despite washing the reel with freshwater after each fishery, with a little time of use they begin some blisters pop up and the paint peels off. I would like to know if the same thing happens in the 2020 model.

I've had the reel for almost 6 months, but haven't used it as much as I want to, but no issues to date.

Hi Sean, I get nervous of sand getting into my reels, so I avoid using my expensive reels on the beach. I use my Penn Slammer III 6500 for beach fishing.

Do you hear any noise as you crank it? I notice there is some noise as I spin it after taking out from the box.

Mine is ok. There is the initial resistance when you start to reel, but no noise. Was the noise there from the beginning?

The Zenaq Muthos Accura 100HH. Perfect setup, but not cheap 😪

Can I pair this reel (Daiwa saltiga 14000XG) wit majorcraft giant killing GXC-76PGXX popping rod, for boat fishing tuana and big gt . ( Rod spec PE 12, 7.6ft lenth, max 200 casting weight).. Is it work well?

I'm not sure to be honest. I don't do much boat fishing. You're going to a store and get a feel of the rod & reel. Sounds like a killer setup for monster fish. Good luck brother.

I’m nervous as I’m about to get this reel. I really love daiwa reel but I just think that it is kind of over kill for kind of fishing.

It depends on what kind of fishing you're planning to do and your current budget. Stella or Saltiga is a big investment, especially if it's not going to be used for its purpose, huge fish 😁

I put on the Varivas Avani Casting Power Max, PE6 (rated to 85lbs), 300 meters.

so the 8000 size is equivalent to the old 6000? or 5000?

What I know is that the old 5000 is now 10000 size. Note 8k, 10k & 14k, they all have same body, just different spool sizes.

Congrats , but do go with AH reviews i’ve seen what is enough of this guy , he is not an honest one, read some where he prais bb on the spool shaft to support good drag settings n another which he deosn’t like would just ignore it completely , issues n flows could be with reels but mostly he is after stella in particular.
