-edit. I did not make this video. I downloaded it years ago off a forum I believe. When youtube was just getting popular I was just uploading random crap I had on my computer. Wasn't expecting this video to get soo many views.

Damn how I miss this era of KZfaq where it was a wild, original platform where everything was created by the people with only the most basic of guidelines and most importantly of all, no politics! Such a fun and pioneering stage of a platform that could have been so great.

5:08 the driver just casually drops the truck off the cliff 😂 Pre GPS days, participants had only a map and a god damn compass! Imagine that! Lots of them got lost in the desert and died eventually. Takes tremendous mental and physical strength to complete this mammoth of a rally. I still can’t wrap my head around how people compete this on a freaking bike! Those guys are just born different I guess. Also, kudos to the person that paired this song with these clips! Great job! Every time someone says what’s Paris-Dakar, I show them this video.

Baja is a different type of test so it cant be compared to this. The Dakar is the greatest challenge in a motor vehicle. It can only be compared to Everest.
