I hear fragments of tribal, hip-hop, and folk put together into one. Very impressive.

I was watching Anderson Paak and the Free Nationals on NPR, when I came across these folk. Way better than anything I have heard this year ever. I don't know how to describe what I have just witnessed, so original, rhythmical, fascinating, brilliant, beautiful and enchanting. Weird and wonderful probably sums it up.

Haven't got a clue what their singing about but it's bloody great to listen to.

I just discovered them and I am grateful. I just watched their Tiny Desk concert and they are just always cracking up and smiling, it's very infectious!!

Do people realize what it is what appeals to them in this music? Or what it is in us that is appealing for this music to come to us, our lives? Powerful raw emotion breaking into our spirituality and awakening it. That's the interconnection. More of it please. And there will be, as I discovered it today I'm going to feast on it for who knows how long for.

Went to see them Bristol. They were incredible one of the best bands I have ever seen live .. 3 other friends I went with have seen many many bands live and they agreed . The place was literally rocking go and see them ..

The most beautiful voices of Ukraine- dakhabrakha can not help but to speak out beautifully against injustice. KEXP LIVE keeps it interesting! This show is from Jun 11, 2017. Loved the words they spoke beginning at 23:22 during this live recording. They took full advantage of their microphone while in America to speak up for Ukraine and against Putin’s aggressive empire. They describe their some of their intentions as artist eloquently. We can learn a lot from their struggle against a dictator and corruption. My favorite quote from Lev Parnas on January 15, 2020 about the new Ukraine government was “They blocked me” Props!! to Ukraine for helping us drain our swamp and giving us a new lens to contrast and let light shine on what corruption is and what it is not. ------- “…..Record songs from different parts of Ukraine and in this way to unite it all and keep uniting because now we have really hard times in this country & Putin tries to make his empire reign- tries to take off some of our lens. So in this way we try to keep Ukraine as a hopeful powerful country because Ukraine’s feel this taste of freedom and we want to be a united and a free democratic country. …. Of course we can’t be apart of political situation, we are involved in it and everyday people die from Russia in the East of the country - of course we worry about it very much & this news is very sad for us. In other way we are musician and we need also to do our job so this is our way of struggle. So we show people Ukraine and share their history, our culture so in this way we try to be like some kind of ambassador to the world.”

a few imprecisions in Dereck Mazzoni 's description of the band: Marko plays derbuka AND accordions, Olena doesn't plays a bass drum but a floor drum, she plays other percussions, Irina plays also piano and shaker, jewharp, daf, ukulele, and bass drum, Nina plays cello and bass drum.

Beautiful music.

The humour in their interaction is delightful. Such great ambassador's for the Ukrainian people who obviously have a great sense of humour in knowingly voting for a comedian as their new President. The British and the USA also have comedians for leaders but that is more ironic and telling of the delusional nature of those country's media and people.

Shout out to groups like Thievery Corporation for presaging what was to come. If this is the future of music then I'm excited!
