Dalaras is the only singer able to sing the beautiful song of the great Dahmane El Harrachi YaRayah. Anyway Dalaras is able to sing everything.

I love him! my mother is greek, my pa is from Italy. They often sing his songs together, my pa plays guitar. I have always been in Greece as a child and teenie. just love greece, it is so special to me. A wise and old country full of sun, culture and history. Wish everyone could have one place like this in his life...........

Dahmane el Harrachi,auteur de cette chanson est décédé en Algérie, à la suite d'un accident de la circulation. Il était adulé par son peuple. Merçi Georges, merçi pour cette merveilleuse reprise. Quand est ce tu veux venir en ALGERIE ? On t'attend !

mostly he sings about love of course, like this one. he says "If I want you and if you want me, nothing comes out" Well he sings about a woman, she is dancing and he is enchained by her. But he often sings about political problems. He is just wonderful and his voice is unique. my ma loves him since she was a child and writing this, I feel it is time to go again to Greece......

Ένα πολύ ωραίο και συνάμα έξυπνο τραγούδι , αναφέρομαι στους στίχους τώρα ! .... Κάποιος φίλος από αραβική χώρα μου είπε πως στην πραγματικότητα το τραγουδι αυτο ειναι αραβικο , απο την Αλγερια , αλλά το πήραμε κι εμείς και του βάλαμε ελληνικούς στίχους .

Ναι, όπως γράφω δίπλα, είναι το αλγερινό "Ya rayah" σε ψιλοδιασκευή του Μπρέγκοβιτς (στίχοι Μιχάλη Γκανά). Αλλά αναγράφεται στο cd ο κανονικός συνθέτης, οπότε είμαστε "νόμιμοι". ;)

I didn't found the arabian version of this song, sung by Faudel, which is the best. All that I found is "My Beloved Libya", but is not the best version. However, the song is beautiful in any interpretation...
