Just after NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports announced the format for the 2023 All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway I chatted with Dale Earnhardt Jr about North Wilkesboro, the All-Star Race and his thoughts on how it all came together.

Jr. Rarely impressed me at non-restrictor plate tracks. Post driving Jr. Is starting to approach Dale Sr’s status and impact on NASCAR. I am impressed what he is getting done and the way he is doing it. From concussion protocol to short track attention to North Wilksboro to IRacing to Dirty Mo. Well done Jr.

when he fought to get a race here I begged him on twitter for the all star race to have heat races. I begged him on all social media accounts to do an old school race. I'm so happy he was already 2 steps ahead of me for fighting this.

The $$ has ruined NASCAR - it's impossible to relate to these drivers - None of em even talks like they are from the South - What used to be a bunch of slick rednecks with personality has become a bunch of Jeff Gordon clones

i wouldnt say its been 3 decades since they have been there since the southern mods put on a show there around 10 yrs ago.

I'm a huge fan of Jr's and racing and what a spectacular effort and job has been done to make this track race ready again. But I feel that Nascar is loosing its traditions. No race at Daytona on the the 4th, only one race at Atlanta especially after the redo its even better. I went racing for my honeymoon...Atlanta several years ago. The Allstar race not at Charlotte. I'm sure this will be a great event. Bring back the races we the fans love to see... Chicago street race on the 4th....Really.... Porr choice imo...

turn it into a DIRT TRACK for CUP series. Bring back Bristol concrete

I love dirt racing and I hear ya man but… I’m thinking that they’re not making any progress putting cup cars back on dirt. It’s a cool throwback but I’ve observed over the years that the majority of dirt fans are locked in and vise versa.
