This special program featuring Dale Watson was produced for ACTV in the early 1990s and cuts excerpts from a live performance at SXSW with interview clips. At the time of the recording, Watson had relocated to Los Angeles, although he assures viewers that rumors he'd "gone Hollywood" were false and that this video serves as proof that he's "still a good ol' boy."
Watson performs three songs live in Austin, Texas at an unspecified SXSW performance, and briefly discusses his approach to songwriting, the value of a honky-tonk education, day job mishaps in Nashville, and his desire to return to Texas (which he would make good on with his move to Austin in 1993). Note: two copyrighted music videos have been removed from this program.
