Had the same experience outside NYNY on the strip. Accosted by a guy much larger than me..I was obviously an easy mark as I am 65 years old. Followed my wife and I racist and basically verbally assisting us all the way from the corner to the steps up to the casino. Thanks for bringing this problem to KZfaq.

I checked into NYNY on the same day as you - keep in mind that the hotel room prices are demand based and this particular day was priced for high demand due to the college football championship and CES convention. Usually, NYNY is prices below $80 for weekdays. I saw Paula filming at Nine Fine Irishmen for this and she puts in work! Thumbs up for the camera work!

Rant justified! That is the major reason I don’t do Excalibur anymore. They are by the elevators!

You think timeshares are bad there, try going to Excalibur. I was there 4 days with my daughter and every time we walked through, they would not leave us alone. No means nothing to these people

My go to place every time I visit NYNY, is Greenberg's Deli. I just gotta get my Pastrami Sandwich(on marble rye), with a side of potato salad & pickle. Another top notch video from Dale & Paula! Happy New Year!

I stayed in the Chrysler Tower back in December. But I had comps for 3. Nights. I enjoyed my view and that it’s smack-dab in the middle.

Howdy Dale and Paula ! I love New York New York ❤. While i usually stay at Aria or Bellagio I always stop in at the chocolate martini 🍸 bar for a cocktail. Such a fun place . Glad they remodeled the rooms as it was long overdue. Sorry about those irritating time share people . They’ve tried it with me before there and at the Venetian and I gave them a few choice four letter words I won’t repeat and they left me alone . Enjoyable video as always . You two crazy kids are awesome 😎😎😎

My mom and I stayed there back in March last year. In my opinion, It's A one time stay depending on what you're planning to do in Vegas. If You're not an early riser, you may not get you room replenished or cleaned even if you call housekeeping! Beds were comfortable though. Watch out in the hotel's restaurants and Check your bill before you leave. They might overcharge you especially at the Mexican restaurant. If I was to visit Vegas in the future, in the same area of the strip, I'd stay at the adjacent MGM Park. At least that hotel is smoke free from top to bottom.

Love it Paula and Dale! NYNY is and will always be my Vegas strip favorite. All those years after it was made, I always said that whenever I finally make it Vegas I would stay there. And in 2014, on my birthday, we landed in Vegas for my first visit and that’s where we stayed! And in April 2023 , we finally visited the real thing, New York City for the first time, and I loved it, and I thought of NYNY hotel in Vegas while I was there.

I’m a bit of a NYNY snob, as I’ve been visiting there since it opened. Great video btw! I miss the FOUNTAIN (NYNY fire boat) spraying the one high spray, unfortunately that’s gone now, it was below the Statue of Liberty. And I’m surprised you FORGOT to mention Chin Chin restaurant/ sushi bar! Yes, it’s from L.A. (I know, EVERYONE hates L.A.!), but it’s an EXCELLENT restaurant! If you go, get the Szechuan dumplings! Tom’s Urban was changed to Tom’s watch bar, not a fan of the change, with HUNDREDS of blaring TVs everywhere!! (Not my cup of tea, but it’s for the sports fans, so I get it🤷🏼‍♂️). But decent food. Sorry about the AWFUL run in with those timeshare people! I NEVER make eye contact with ANYONE outside on sidewalks/ bridges/ walkways….it helps. Again, great video!

NYNY is awesome! My friend Ann and I used to walk all the way from the Venetian to Hershey World and the M&M store! I remember the time share people…some were really mean 😡

We love the NYNY as well it was the first hotel we ever stayed in Las Vegas and it holds special memories for us . Just a quick note about Nine Fine Irishmen unfortunately they are not serving Shepherds pie to you it’s Cottage Pie they’re serving(made with minced beef) Shepherds Pie is made with minced lamb hence the reason it’s called Shepherds pie lol 👍🏻

Those timeshare people have tried with me to. I’m not nice at all if they don’t take my first NO. I straight up tell them to eff off and LOUDLY. They remember my face (during my trip & same location) & usually leave me alone after that. I am NASTY and LOUD with them so they get the message clearly and so the other tourists do too about these timeshare people. I had one grab my elbow and I came around with my fist about to strike one of them, but they let go and coward/hunch down when they seen my fist coming. I told them they touch me again someone was leaving on a gurney. Like seriously.. no one touches me. I get Dale’s anger on it. These people are disgusting, predatory, and jerks. I’ve tried to be nice in the past but no more.. they get 1 “no” and that’s it. Then my self defense comes flying out. 😂 The video was great! I’ve never stayed but there all the time. I do wanna stay & now with the refreshed rooms, it looks more enticing now. Thanks for all the info!

I’ll add I had dinner at Nine Fine Irishman during my stay. Dinner was up the stairs overlooking the bottom bar area.Loved it

I love, LOVE, the Hershey's Chocolate store. Especially the REESE's section. And the Chocolate Bar next door to the store. I always get the REESE's PBC Martini ... OH MY GOODNESS! That drink is the best, and I'm a whisky girl. I also enjoy eating at Broadway Burgers and Grill, Gonzalez Y Gonzalez. I have not had a chance, though, to stay at NYNY. One of these years I will.

Not acknowledging them is the best bet. Not even looking or one word. It happens every time I come to Vegas. The new laws better work out.

WOW! Good coverage on the property but that is a crazy room price for the New York New York. Since you live so close by I'm surprised you did not wait. Even with low status at MGM, they always offer me a comped room at NY (other than resort fees) on non busy week day nights.

Will visit Vegas in May. Even though I work in NYC, NY NY is a must visit hotel whenever I'm there. The frontage is one of the best on the Strip and the location and sight lines are also one of the best.

Omg we get 3 to 4 free nights comp from my Konami MGM rewards I’d never pay for that hotel. Wowza. We’re big MGM players. We have 3 comp at Paris for Labor Day week

With the HARASSMENT from the TIMESHARE staff justifies an immediate phone call to hotel MANAGEMENT ... "either THEY go or I NEVER COME BACK." The hotel needs to be made aware of the treatment!!

Hi Paula, Crystal here. I haven’t commented in a very long time! Wow…you guys spent a lot for one night at NYNY! As you know we frequent Vegas. We decided to stay at NYNY last June for the first time. And our 2 nights with the same room you had was only $168 total. We didn’t have a parking fee, but we paid much less than you did for one night. I liked NYNY, but a lot of little kids at this resort..Vegas just isn’t a place for little ones. Great dining there, but we won’t stay there again as we did not care for the pool or their cabanas. Take care!

That room charge is expensive, and all the add ons, mental. I live in the UK, a month ago I flew to Malta, stayed a week in a new hotel, breakfast included, transfers to and from airport included, wifi included, extra leg room seats on my flight included for £350. So about $100 more and I got a whole week. Still got to gamble at the casino 5 minutes walk away! I price up Vegas all the time, I’ve been 17 times before but the prices are insane. I could take a 9 night luxury cruise for the same price as 7 nights in Vegas without any drinks or food. Vegas is a no go for me now. $6 for 1 cookie is daylight robbery!!!

We LOVE New York, New York!! We’ve stayed there a couple of times, once before they renovated and once after! We haven’t come across the timeshare salespeople in New York, New York, but have definitely had our share in MGM Grand , Planet Hollywood and The Venetian!! I’m so sorry that he was so brutal with you and wouldn’t give up! I did watch your rant on Facebook and it sounded like borderline harassment 😢 Anyways, we have eaten at America and Nine Fine Irishmen as well! We LOVE Nine Fine Irishmen! We often go there to watch live music too 😊

Great to see you folks again. I think the room rate was high because you stayed on the night of the college championship game. I've stayed there and paid at lot less than you did. I'm going again in late March 2024. Glad you mentioned the dueling pianos! I didn't know about that. One thing I like about the NY-NY is the Shake Shack near "the Park". Great for a burger and a shake. I also find myself liking the vibe at the center bar, especially during the weekends. Very lively and fun atmosphere. I just like to watch everyone having a good time there. The rooms are nice enough, not fancy but serve their purpose. Also I like that it's close to the Luxor and Excalibur.

Love the history along with the videos. Those time share people are terrible had the same problem when we went to Cancun also, my in-law just finally got out of there. They are called vacation clubs now.

Stayed at NYNY last fall and really liked it. For the time-share people, can’t you just ask them why you’d get a timeshare when you live there?

We have never stayed at NY NY, but Greenberg’s Deli is one of our favorites. Now that you mention the timeshare salesmen it’s probably one of the reasons we have never stayed there. We don’t like harassment 😢 it was good to hear they have a good staff. We had a bad experience at Aria’s pool during Covid and have never been back. Plus their rooms need a refresh. There are so many great hotel choices in LV. For what you paid for a room on a Monday 🎉it should have been New Year’s Eve.

When I see the room prices and all the additional fees.. then the $6 Corporate Hershey cookies, it sickens me. As a late 40s San Diego local, I was driving to LV for fun, then even work/fun from 1996 (haven’t returned since 2019) for years and years.. now I just can’t wait to see it just crumble under the greed. There is no way these absurd rates for everything will survive the inevitable economic depression. Watch and see. I love Paula and Dale, and I had a special place in my heart ❤️ for Las Vegas and hope to again, but I love y’all’s content no matter what. Hey guys, what a treat you always add such a pleasant twist to my Sunday mornings! Dale is really the country and western fashion plate today! I absolutely love the hat and vest that match perfectly with the shirt under! Looking great Dale, You too Paula’s your hair is always so neatly coffed!

I have the same room booked for May, Sun-Thurs. room compted, I pay tax and fees + $20 early check in. Total $224 for the 4 nights.

We also love NYNY, our upcoming February trip will be our 20th stay there. I thought for sure you were going to mention the costs when you said you were stressed. $329 bucks a night for a Monday, $6 for a stale cookie, $12 for a Bud Light, $20 for a mixed drink last week. I guess we are all dumb enough to keep coming back!

NY NY is one of our favorites! I loved the video, except for Dale being treated rudely, and aggressively by a timeshare dude of all things! No sense in that, and I am glad they are trying to clean up some of the bridge walkways. NY NY is in an absolutely great location. Take Care.

That is so bizarre they removed the refrigerator. 😮 I’ve stayed in quite a few Soho Premiers and they always had a fridge. That was one of the perks above the standard soho.

Sorry to hear about the timeshare salesperson incident. Although you didn't say if you told him you lived there, if you did it that is weird he would continue to harass you. Love nyny. Always stay there. I had same thing happen across from nyny by abc store. Guy followed me harassing me atleast a block. I’m 73. Finally lost him in crowd by street crossing . He just wouldn’t leave. Wanted to know WHY I wouldn’t listen to him. He was very aggressive. He came outbox some music store near abc store as we were walking back to nyny. Sep 2023.

I'm not a gambler, but I give them my rewards number every time I eat/buy something. I wonder if it was more expensive due to the Game? Just crazy! I’m usually put in the Century Tower, but last month got a room in the Empire Tower. There’s only 9 or 10 rooms on each floor, it was nice and quiet. A little longer walk to the casino and restaurants, but easy to walk around the long way and avoid those nasty timeshare hucksters.
