@Shadow Responder stormtroopers didi not kind of dissolved, Hitler deliberately disbanded the stormtroopers, because stormtroopers were under the command of Ernst Rohm, who was Hitler’s political rival in the Nazi party. Ernst Rohm was arrested and executed by Hitler’s orders.

Imperial troops can't shoot for shit, and that armor (in-movie) appears to be decorative plastic, lol. The reality should be they get completely annihilated.

Agree and as everyone knows Starwars Stormtroopers can't hit a urinal let alone an enemy with their blaster.

Especially considering the Commandos would have, at least, moved up to the edges of the vestibule and been firing down at the entrances. If that had been the case, most of the vestibule Commandos would have survived. The "sniper" Commandos off to the one side would have also been closer to the edges and spread out, firing into the back sides of the attackers.

Someone should have a melee fight between 2 armies, and Chuck in the middle.

true but I'm not sure why they replaced the phase 2 clone armor with the imperial one considering that the newer imperial armor has poor visibility and is not very well designed which really effected the accuracy of the stormtroopers. Edit: stormtroopers volunteered for the empire and were not captured and enslaved like the first order does.

100m on a range... more like 50m in a combat setting. I've shot the real things :) If you want real range, give them K98 rifles & MG34's or 42's. The Imperials should have the huge advantage of volume of fire and potentially greater range with blaster beams with the E-11's (if they can hit, haha).

That fatal funnel would have been even worse for the Knights if the Commandos had moved up to the edges of the turf and been firing down on the Knights as they tried to enter the vestibule.

@TheLapster firstly, plot armor. Nobody beats plot armor in fiction. Secondly, Ewoks used bows and arrows made of unknown substance, whilst having immense strength themselves. For all we know they could've been using some sort of corrosive tip to their arrows that could go through any armor we have today, or perhaps some sort of highly dense penetrator. We also have no idea what velocity they were fired at, or what the mass of each arrow was. They also had some exotic weapons, like fire spirits that would light enemies on fire, and were practically unavoidable. Meanwhile they were supported by Rebel Commandos, with all sorts of equipment, ranging from sensors to jammers. Anyway. Stormtroopers are semi-elite compared to Imperial army troopers, and are of course great shots, only missing the main characters because Vader ordered them not to. A medium powered shot from an E-11 would probably be worse than getting hit by a .50 BMG, never mind a full power shot, like the ones that instantly vaporized metal grates in ANH. Stormtroopers also had IFR, HUDs, and tons of grenades and heavy weapons
