I LITERALLY just finished the Rubin interview and noticed that hypocrisy IMMEDIATELY. I’m really perplexed by how these people can’t introspect and observe passed/current interactions in a nuanced way. Glass ceiling? Global warming mainly affecting women? ONLY MENTIONING WOMEN in sweatshops? As a scientist, I would love to see the data backing this information, considering there is a mountain of evidence to the contrary. I suspect she, like most third wave feminists, just pulled this number out of the aether.

But that is the thing. These people are not really "evil" or something of that negative sort. But they are very stupid and they are gettin power. Indeed a lot. Now, we have corrupted, power hungry, shady people in positions of power but they understand that destroying the very pillar they are standing on will essentially lead to their own fall. Stupid people do not get it. They do not have mental capacity to understand consequences of some of their policies/rhetorics/laws they make. They just believe they are doing good. This women as many others is a textbook example of someone like that. She might be 85/90 iq with very little understanding how the world works but she want to change it. She sure talks a lot without saying anything and I see her sort everywhere now. They are even in private companies occupying well paid positions doing "company policies" etc. This is not going to end well. I ll give it 20-40 years when we reach peak of insanity and then, hopefully the world will start to recover. But before then it is going to get much worse I fear. We got weak and comfortable and that led to stupidity to slowly crawl into power as smarter people think they will not be affected and to some degree that might be true for them. Not for generation that is growing up though...

the point of capitalism is that everyone is able to freely compete and make their own consumer and worker decisions. This includes women and minorities. If some groups are systematically oppressed by the state or society then that is not capitalism because they have no consumer freedom. Yes capitalism produces inequality but it shouldn't do so along lines of race or sex. If it does then that is a product of societal racism and sexism not capitalism which is simply economic freedom.

No one is saying we should only care about them. It’s a critique on the feminism we see today which doesn’t really try to look at the root of the problem and how big the issue actually is. Feminism is about liberation. How will we be free when there are working class women dying in sweatshops for the companies that claim to care about equality? It’s a capitalist issue, not a feminist one.
@noless
@noless 5 жыл бұрын
The way feminist can talk about instances of harassent and ridicule as to why they became feminist, is very similar to men's bad experiences with women as to why they choose to not like women or don't want to deal with them at all. Is that really a good reason though? Seems kind of petty to me.

Since I did discovered that I'm as a boy only being attracted to stronger girls in my late teens/early twenties. I also discovered that almost all current world problems are caused by patriarchy (man being stronger then woman and thus being charge). If human biology was a bit different and we where a matriarchal species (girls/woman being taller and stronger then man and thus being in charge) there would'nt be the endless hierarchies, numerous wars, oppresion, destruction of nature, overpopuation, resource depletion and corruption like we see wright now in the p(l)andemic. The only flaw I see with feminism is that it focuses only on woman and giving woman a victim mentallity which prohibit them from becoming a strong and independent amazonian woman. Matriarchism shoud replace feminism as ideology because it involves man and woman. It's a bit silly to say as being man that I'm feminist I rather say I'm a matriarchist.

Feminism has already changed society. The British family is in tatters via divorce laws and family courts Birth rates are abysmal. Marriage rate is in the toilet. Traditional dating and courting is dead, replaced by hookup culture. Women are working 40 and 50 hours weeks, and angry, bitter and miserable about it. And in the midst of this dysfunction feminists in the UK have doubled down on a gender war even though they have already won their benefits, privileged status. Feminists just want more. the way this guy does not challenge her over her ridiculous statements like men have advantage in this system. Yeah thats why they have a higher sucuide rate and jobe death rate. we work longer hours and now women will be employed over us because they are women. Oh and this will sound bad but literally every month they can call their employer and tell them they can't come in because of womens problems and there is no question asked. try that one as a man

Maybe if she tried connecting one thought to the next before making noise with her mouth she would form something resembling coherent communication?

What i always find funny about this interviews is that they only see all the negative things about the system they describe but will pretend all the results derived from said systems will remain the same should they change the system. I call it The Hannah Montana effect. Where people unrealistically expect to have the best of both worlds without any consideration for the costs. It's extremely childish to simply say that restructuring all of scoiety will have no negative impact whatsoever. Btw i just love how she says women are the biggest victims of (any problematic) but i never hear about the things that affect men disproportionately to women. I listened to the entire interview, but I'm not sufficiently convinced.

So here's the thing Why don't feminists help climate change activists by writing a song about climate change and protesting abot that at least do something for this earth rather than protest infront of Trumps hotel which is no use. It will at least help the earth.We have bigger issues to tackle for the next generation for god's sake. This world is dying.
