I'm 54 and as a kid I remember them good old days on Friday nights. The Incredible Hulk st 8:00 pm, then the Dukes st 9 and Dallas at 10. Those shows kept me glued to the TV set for 3 hours. It was always like a great ending to the hectic school week and a great start to the weekend.

My mother was a huge Dallas fan. For 14 seasons she lived for 9:00 p.m. on Friday nights. The series ended in 1991 when I was 11. But I do remember watching the show in syndication several years later. I haven't seen every episode, but I have seen many of them. I can tell you this show had it all. High drama, fantastic acting, and an outstanding cast of actors and actresses that in my opinion featured some of the word's most elegant, classy, and beautiful women. There has never been and never will be another show like Dallas.

Dallas certainly made my rehearsal dinner exciting, to the point, it was renamed The Who JR Party. How many Brides can say that? It was a tremendous party; and I Thank the cast of Dallas, for making my Wedding even more memorable. My Wedding was the following Day. I felt like I was walking on clouds.

Dallas the best night time soap of ALL TIME!!! JR was excellent and handsome. Larry Hagman is my fav actor of all time! Interesting because he was such a kind man in real life. Sue Ellen was drop dead gorgeous and that strut of hers…. Pam and Bobby were a beautiful couple! Loved the chemistry between JR and Sue Ellen. He was mean to her but he loved her in his sick kind of way! Many other pretty ladies who played on the show and also some of the men were not hard on the eyes. Visited Southfork Ranch a few years ago and it was as marvelous tour! Watched the whole series many times and I always picked up something that I missed before! Many people complained about Ellies wardrobe…. My goodness she cooked in the kitchen a lot, especially making the fav, her homemade Texas chili. Unrealistic to walk around the house dressed in gowns, expensive shoes and tailored suits when you live on a working ranch! Barbara too was a great actress!

People, you have to remember this was from 2006 so many are deceased. It gets confusing when a fan publishes it in 2019 and also, TV Land has been promoting what they are now playing as fan favorites and yes, we have 'The Dukes of Hazzard,' with John and Tom and I'm surprised no one has posted 'The Hulk' yet...but believe me, it will come.

It would be funny if ,during the 90's,there was a Crossover of the Series "Dalllas" with "Walker Texas Ranger"! That's because both series had the Texan city of Dallas as a scenario. Imagine Chuck Norris (as The Ranger Cordell Walker), together with his colleague Trivette and his partner Alex investigating some crime linked to the scams involving JR Ewing! What if there was a final showdown between Walker and JR in Southfork? JR would take more beatings from Walker than his brother Bobby!
@claudiomagalhaes863511 ай бұрын
Just a detail in relation to this comment: actress Sheree J. Wilson participated in both series: Dallas and Walker, The Texas Ranger.On this Crossover,Sheree,as caracter Alex(Walker's girlfriend)should be confused with the return of Bobby Ewing's bride,killed on Paris.

@@mikeymcmikeface5599 Ha! Personally I've never bought the Dynasty being a "Dallas" copy line, to me the two shows couldn't have been more different. And yes, Dallas's 'golden period' lasted longer than Dynasty's. But when Dynasty was at its best (i.e. Season 2) it was untouchable.
@adamcarrington28184 жыл бұрын
@@carolynargabright8132 Yes, generally Dynasty has much more camp than Dallas. But the 'Dream Season' and the final years certainly gave Dynasty a run for its money!
@adamcarrington28184 жыл бұрын
@NM1Raider Not quite consistently. Dynasty beat Dallas in the ratings in 1985. And between 1980/81 and 1985 Dynasty was the only primetime soap to increase its viewing figures every year. Just sayin'!
