The show was very much over after the season closing 1985 when Bobby was hit by the car and died. The Dream Season was a bore and while his resurrection brought interest (end of 86") the show wasn't any good any longer. That season when Patrick Duffy came back (was Victoria's last) was the pitts, sorry to say.

They did not see Pam again until the following season when another actress briefly played Pam in one scene telling Cliff she has cut all ties with her family. Completely untrue to the character.

Here's a fun fact. Before Dallas, Margaret Michaels guest starred on Dallas' rival show, Dynasty. She played a student of tennis instructor Mark Jennings at La Mirage

I wished they had made her the new Pam. By this time, they knew VP wasn’t going to return. With the Pam character, the shows final seasons would have been so much better.

Katherine should have been added as a regular YEARS before this with her name and picture on the opening credits. She would have needed to have been less crazy and toned down some. Two "baddies" worked on Dynasty (Alexis and Sable) and Jr and Katherine could have shared a show to. Katherine should have been CEO of her father's company which at times could have battles Ewing Oil. Yes she could have been with Bobby once it was established Pam was gone. VP should have came back to tie Pam's story up but not as dying. She should have bought an island in the Caribbean and went to be there sharing custody of christopher with Bobby

Another bad decision by Leonard Katzman, who was pretty much running the show by now. He was also responsible for firing Susan Howard (Donna) because she was vocal about the bad dream explanation.

Cliff was a good guy

Captain spauding Katherine Wentworth had to help her move or why could she in all those damage nerves from that explosion she was seated during her last scene used by Margret Michaels.

Agreed . . . .the show's qualify was never the same (even after 1985). Up to the point that Bobby was killed in 1985 - that was the end of the best of the show. All down hill after that (and that includes that annoying April)!

@@anthonykuszel8024 Dallas had a lot of great storylines, but this one was pretty far fetched. The Wes Parmalee story was beyond far fetched as well, but I loved it!! Any storyline with Barbara Bel Geddes is great. Most brilliant actress ever, next to Jean Stapleton.

Jabroni Camel They set it up as part of a cliffhanger because they had hoped to lure Victoria Principal back in between seasons (as they had with Patrick Duffy and Barbara Bel Geddes). When they couldn’t, they brought in that lookalike for a scene to (poorly) tie up Pam’s story.

Double whammy was losing Sue Ellen not long after. Pam and Sue Ellen were more or less "replaced" by April and Cally, niether of who could hold a candle to Grey and Principal

After VP quit and Susan Howard was fired, the magic was gone and it wasn’t the same show. To me, the dream season was the last year with the Dallas “feel”.
