Best video for this specific problem. A1 job going through all tests for diagnosis. Every other video on KZfaq starts with some grease monkey telling us they are changing the solenoid. And they proceed to tell you how to remove the engine cover but they don't tell you how they determined the part failed. lol. I don't need a guy to tell me how to turn a wrench. This guy here figured that the solenoid resistance may increase as the engine gets hot, causing it to go out of operating spec and creating drivability problems. Brilliant. This is exactly what happened with my car. the resistance checked out when the engine was cold. after driving for 20 min, the same solenoid showed a resistance higher than spec. Problem solved. thanks for fixing my car Dallas Auto Diag.

Great video I had my 2011 Gmc Terrain diagnosis with the same problem, but its running fine haven't notice any drivably issues just an engine warning light I parked it until getting fix. My question is at a 100 thousand miles is it a good idea to just replace both intake and exhaust solenoids .

VVT intake is bad. Failed the ohmmeter test. I didn't watch the whole video.
