Dallins speech at the end was truly beautiful and although i can tell he was sad he couldn’t go for the full 2 years, i can tell how proud of himself he is and that he knows this was part of Heavenly Fathers plan. I cried through this entire video. I get to pick up my two sons who are serving missions. They are in Louisville and Cincinnati. They went into the MTC on the same day and will be released on the same day. They are 6 years apart. I'm single now and moved to another state after they left so I'm bringing them home to an entirely new area but they've gotten used to that on their missions. Serving a mission during COVID has been so hard on all of our missionaries. Thank you for sharing Dallin’s journey with us. Bless your family and prayers for Dallin to recover with no lasting side effects.

It took everything for me to hold in tears at the beginning of the video but as soon as Dallin had that sweet hug with Becky I was sobbing for the rest of the video. I'm not crying, your crying lol. I've been watching so many LDS mission call letter reads and LDS mission homecomings lately but this one is by far one of the best. The really long hug with mum is so telling of how much he missed and needed his mum while he was so ill. Those LDS families that send loved ones off on missions for 18-24months are so strong, I'm a 38yr old mother of 4 and I can't even go an entire week without making some kind of contact with my parents, no way I'd manage 18-24months with minimal contact.
