yeah i thought that, i think its a mixture of giving the people who watched the movies more of recognisable version with some comic book accurate stuff. Or its more of a Marvel dictate which i hear that is the reason most characters in game have to bend the knee to.

Mantis also gained abilities when she merged with the Cotati, such as being able to communicate with both plants and animals, something she calls “biopathy.” She can also survive in space in a physically solid “energy” or astral form and transfer herself from plant-life-to-plant-life across interstellar and she can revive her self in plant life aswell is what some of her powers are like in the comics in the movies she doesn't have any plant based powers for some reason. Also she's just has broken abilities so I understand why they nerf her in the movies lmao

I thought it was going to be all empathy based powers but I’ve only seen the movies not the comics. Either way I LOVE Mantis and will be playing her!
