He didn’t demand a trade to a championship contender, he demanded a trade to Miami and only Miami. There is a huge difference.

@@JT_Breakdowns I did not mean to imply it was your fault, I just want to clarify Damian Lillard’s position in the matter. the rest of the video I agree with, he would definitely have more recognition if he was on a better team throughout his career. But I don’t think he’s underrated because everyone knows how good he is. Plus he’s in the Western Conference which has been stacked since early 2000s. If he was on a mediocre team in the Eastern conference he might’ve made it to the Eastern conference finals a couple times at least.

it’s nuts we got a player in curry who’s better lol , dame is underrated sometimes , too bad he had bad coaching , not enough defense around him and bigs who stayed hurt

You’re right it is actually crazy that we got a player in curry who plays in the same era. It’s also unfortunate that we didn’t get to see a team where dame had the proper help in teammates and coaching

He didn’t demand a trade. He asked for one. Portland wants to rebuild and has done everything to go young except say it in the media. They don’t wanna seen as the bad guy moving on from Dame. The Blazers have also said they owe Dame and will move him where he wants. No one made them say that, no one made them pick rebuild over Dame.

The reason he’s underrated is because he got no accolades probably. It’s stupid to rate a player based on that tho so I agree with you.

I think him being in Portland also has a lot to do with it, you really get a lot less attention when playing with small market teams unless you are always winning

The opposite is true. Damien is massively overrated. He has numbers only because he's on a loser team. He plays zero defense. He has deep threes because he just throws up garbage on a team that doesn't care.
