Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard sits down with Hawks' All-Star Trae Young for an exclusive conversation on whether NBA rings should impact a player's legacy, which Blazers team were closest to winning a title, Bucks hiring Doc Rivers mid-season, pros and cons playing with Giannis Antetokounmpo, his draft process, building his dream 3-point contest and more. He also discusses with Trae how hard it is to get to the NBA conference finals and how they're able to shoot from distance in All-Star episode of From the Point by Trae Young.

“SOME DUDES PLAYED IN THE ERA W/ M.J. , and that’s why they didn’t win.”- Nothing more true. I grew up in Seattle, my first “favorite players”- naturally are Gary Payton and Shawn kemp. I remember them literally almost beating the bulls in the finals. But also that feeling that I had, deep down , KNOWING - that MJ was as going to win. I was introduced to basketball as a kid while MJ was playing. I remember how nonchalantly he retires after a 3 peat to do weird stuff like play baseball. Then come back- and do it again. He was LITERALLY BORED. So he did something else to come back and 3 peat AGAIN. So my point is - all I’ve ever known of MJ is that whatever he wanted to do in basketball- he would absolutely do. I never saw him fail at it that’s for sure. So just knowing the Sonics weren’t going to win, was a strange feeling when they had such a great year. 100% Sonics win that year if MJ didn’t play. Tell me otherwise. Same with damn near every team MJ played in the finals. Funny to hear from my current favorite PG- when the Sonics were no more, I drifted to Portland naturally. Always been a lillard fan. Moved to idaho years later, got into the bucks.(pretty easy to do when Portland wasn’t really a contender) Nothing crazier than waking up one day to find out this blazer lifer, just got traded to the bucks. I absolutely cannot wait to see what the bucks can do if not this year, then next. Because dame and Giannis both got that championship level heart, passion, humility and respect for the game, I want nothing more than to see dame get that ring. Whether he does it- or doesn’t. He’s still absolutely a top 75 pg of all time. The way he sees the game is just incredible to watch.

No. Dame is just having a struggle adjusting to all this. Imagine riding a bike the same way for 11 years then being told you’re doing it wrong. How long does to take to adjust 11 years of solidified style to something very unfamiliar? Everything is different for him. The thing about Milwaukee is there’s no positive press. It’s all negative. Win a game-you should’ve won by more. Lose a game, you’re trash. That’s a lot to deal with in addition to the family turmoil and life changes for him as well as the system changes on the court.

Damn time is top 75, all star starter and despite he is 139th in 3 point shooting % he still compete in 3 point shootout today, VERY OVERRATED AND BALLHOG PLAYER. Grayson Allen and Norman Powell deserve more than him,
