Rita is a true black strong Queen she tolerated a lot she really believed in honoring your marriage these woman had to know that beautiful man belong to some on. Rita’s life reminds me so much of me and my husband he look so much like Bob Marley & with the Afro stage. He has 3 children outside of or marriage and he told these women he has a wife it seems like they want him even more. I blame my husband not the children. Do you think Bob Marley would appreciate the division that people like yourself try to foment among his children and the people? They are all individuals doing their music. If you like Damien's music, style the most then express it that way. Your opinion should not berate the other siblings. I like Damien's style, also. But, do not forget that he is not the only child with a Grammy. If you are speaking of music in terms of awards. All of them are expressing their thoughts and feelings through music. Bob loved Rita and their relationship had a strong foundation based on their friendship, life experience and loyalty to each other. They accepted each other and the infidelity between them. Bob adopted children from Rita’s liaisons and she looked after children from his. They had a deep connection, which evolved over time and was love in the true sense of the word. Cindy was an important conquest but he also had other women during that period. It wasn’t a fairytale love story. It was a encounter that lasted for a period of time and ended for them. Cindy moved on and married within 3-months of his death and then had two more children. Bob wasn’t going leave Rita who was an intrinsic part of his life and being for a romance, he was much deeper and more profound man than that.

I saw Damien and his band at the Bristol Academy UK. There were 2 supporting artists Rubba Ranxs was the host DJ. There were 2 big luxurious coaches outside with blacked out windows and behind them, but nearest to the road was an ordinary minibus. Normal windows, etc. Guess which one Danien was travelling in? That's right ✅️ the minibus. I have so much admiration for this man. ❤️💛💚 JG certainly doesn't abuse his privilege. 💯

Bob was like a rare tree. He planted his seeds and all his children have inherited some form of him. They all have a gift. Personally, I think Damian Marley is most like him. Bob 2.0. even more Educated articulate and successful. Jr Gong is a musical warrior. His music and lyrics are consciously rebellious. Much like his father. Modern version His voice and mannerisms are very similar to Bob. Bob had many women but Cindy was the one he openly expressed his love for and had a significant place in his life. It's no coincidence Damian Marley is so much like him. No disrespect to Rita. Rita holds her own title and respect.

I see everybody going on about Cindy and her situation. She was a side chick. She claiming one of the documentary that she didn’t know about Bob was married. Rita was his muse. He would never divorce her. That is the Rastafarian way. If Bob Marley was alive today you probably would have over 30 kids are more. Cindy married two times since Bob Marley. She was with Bob for the fame just like any other groupie, and got pregnant. If you look at when the kids were born, most of these kids were born in a two month period in the same year. Bob Marley, true love was the Rastafarian religion and music.

Damian is well grounded with major contributions to music at large. I believe this is a demonstration of the manner in which he was raised by his parents, the siblings love and support for each other, his self confidence and natural talent. He manifests the validity of nature and nurture in a child’s upbringing. The Marley children had ZERO decision on how they were brought into existence. We should be careful. Do not contribute to narrative to create a rift in their solid relationship. They rose above the maelstrom to thrive!

Its not the fact that Cindy had an affair with a married man that is the issue, or that she is celebrating the father if her child that was the problem. It's what she said at the end of her tribute statemeny that has rubbed not only Rita's children, but rest of the public the wrong way. As a married woman, Cindy never needed toention the times she spent with Bob while hsving her affair, on this particular occasion, but rather in another interview. The timing was wrong. The saddest part is, once Bob Marley month is over, and the rest of the world has forgot Bob till never Feb, she has left a possible void between Damian and his siblings! Damian was always accepted, and Cindy was only thinking of herself being in the spotlight, if only for a moment. A good woman would have been a bit more diplomatic and forward thinking for the sake of her son 's futire relationship with his siblings. Was it really worth it for a few moments of the spotlight? It wouldnt surprise me if Damian had words with her, asking why she would choose to do that after all these years he has been bonded with Rita and his siblings? Also, her present husband cannot feel good listening to her talk about the times she spent with someone else's husband, her dead lover. Its tasteless,undignified,not classy, or anything to be proud of. Pay tribute to his works yes, but don't insert your affair into his tribute! Goddesses and Queens with high esteem and self respect would know that..This celebration wasn't about you🙏🏾❤🙏🏾

the family already knew this it's the public that decided to take this up on their head. Cindy and Rita spent the last weeks with Bob in his house until he died. Cindy and Bob had a love affair and Rita and Bob loved each other until death. They all coexist together everyone knew what was going on, when he was on tour he had Cindy with him while Rita was the backup singer so like I said it's the public that took this up and was shocked there is and was no shock factor with the family. Calm down, I am sure present husband knew before it happened. Damian is likely upset because they left his mom out who played such a big part in his dad's life, he did not even post the movie on his page. I didn't even see him at the premiere of this movie I am sure he supports his mom 100 percent.

From what I read, years ago, Cindy and Rita both worked together to clean and prepare Bob’s body for his Rastaman funeral, they respected each other, Damian has a great mama.❤❤❤❤❤ I amiss Bob, I really planned on going to see One Love in the theater for Valentines Day with my husband, but we had to travel to Southern California to visit my dying parents. Me and my six siblings are losing our parents, both of them at the same time, dad has bad dementia & mom is losing her memory too, we caught Covid which is rampant in S.C. & we had to leave immediately, we got home pronto, February 13th, but we were way too sick to go to the movies. I want to go tonight or tomorrow night, or wait for the weekend so husband can drive me, I am handicapped.

Saying she never liked rohan, but wanted rohans with at the time to play her in a movie 😂. Bob's mother said Rita had a black heart. And bunny said a lot worse about Rita. The problem is Rita does all the talking in death. Most people didn't know he was married when he was alive because he told everyone Rita was his sister, but everyone knew about Cindy when he was alive because he wrote enough songs about her.

You know something, out of all the Marley Sons, Damian sounds the most genuine and sincere..My point is I like his aura of sincerity, I just think it's sad that some people out there now are inadvertedly berating his mother because basically her skin wasn't as dark as an african woman..Yes Rita was Bob Marley's wife (and by the way there was some stories behind that marriage that Bunny Wailer once exposed before if you can find it!!) As a 69 year old white guy, I love Bob Marley, and reggae is by far my favorite musical genre. All of Bob's musical kids have a lot of talent, but I believe that Damian got far more than his share. His singing is almost on par with his father's, and his songwriting is fabulous. I just don't like it when a bit of rap or hip hop seeps into his reggae.
