watching this in retro, and taking into account his latest works, he has definitely stood the test of time, with some seriously huge projects, I'd say he's like, half artist, half highwayman, the amount of money he has prized from the hands of the upper classes speaks for itself, I think it's a very impressive contribution to the art world, some folks will just never get it, I suppose.

Loved the comment: "He's given up being a cleaner now.." "he got a job as an art critic." " I love all that confusion..."

I understand all his thoughts of "why he became an artist" and "why did he created all these works". I also like the comment "the world is complicated so as an artist you're going to present it in a complicated way" so he is, to me, a great example of shocking artist in our society.

my favourite part is when the interviewer asks him what he wished he had as an artist and he explains how the idea of painting is really desireable and explains that you actually have to put a bit of effort into becoming a painter

Always torn with Hirst, he is the Ed Sheeran of the Art world, which I guess to some that's a compliment, to others its a criticism, so I'll leave it as that.

I love his lack of pretentiousness. A lot of what he says is actually quite profound but said in the least profound way possible. He's an artist - not a performer or storyteller. It's clear from his art, what he says and how he says it that the messages are all there in his art and he needs that forum to express his point!

It's always good fun seeing Damien Worst making a tit of himself as he tries in vain to string a coherent sentence together

When people "that's not art" I think they are trying to say; "that's not a traditional painting". Just like what you like. I think ginger haired females are beautiful, if someone pointed at one and said "that's not a brunette" that should not change my thinking that the ginger woman is beautiful.
