This is my favourite song ever. I actually cannot believe how amazing it is; how much emotion he portrays through his voice alone. What I love about this is that it's so raw and this song is all about his voice.... that's what a true musician is. Someone who can be amazing without any editing or too many instruments drowning out their voice. This is just as amazing live as the recorded version is, but actually seeing him when he sings it is just phenomenal.

if it wasnt for artists like damien rice or antony and the jonhsons i would probably be a happier person.. but man, i might not be the happiest.. but i am definately a much better human being just by knowing their work

damien is the number one his voice is not a normal voice i like play an instrument, something like a guitar and a piano.... and in this version of elephant he did something amazing. i lived this situation in my life, and when he sing is like back to past and live it another time.

This is so emotional performance! My favourite Damien's song. I believe this song is about his and Lisa's relationship. I think at that time both of them were with other people but as they were in the same band, it was too hard for them to act like friends. They were always on and off and soon after he fired Lisa. I think that song is about his true feelings for Lisa at that time. He was with another girl but he couldn't stop compering her with Lisa. I love the moment when he finishes the song and he turns to Lisa and looks at her. Anyhow...if it's only my interpretation.. I still believe that song is about those situations in life when you are with somebody but you still think or love another person but you know that you must go on.
