The Gbenga's part where his wife opened the door reminds me of something similar that happened to me. I reconnected with a childhood friend in 2018. Things were really going well between us, but something in me was not so settled to accept him wholly. One day, I visited him at the office and as God will have it, I also met an old friend who works in same office as him. It was almost Christmas break I remember; he said he wanted to quickly dash out to get some gifts for some of their clients. While waiting for him to return, I got talking with my friend I met at his office and she casually mentioned about his wife. She didn't even know I was not aware he was married. I was like, Who? Married? How? Where? When? And he has been carrying me all along? He calls me on the phone all the time even at night. I'm so glad God revealed this to me. Imagine if I didn't meet my friend at his office, that's how he would have kept his marriage a secret. God truly knows how to deliver His children. Also when we pray concerning everything, God saves us from pains and mistakes.

I read the book Gbemi. The first time I read it I was totally touched, I remember crying a lot that night. I cried and prayed a lot. I wasn't sexual harassed by any man but I felt like the story was for me in a way. Watching the movie seems totally different tho but I love the book more because of my experience. Am I the only one who noticed “Gbemi’s” demeanor changed after she forgave her father?

By far one of the best Mount Zion Films I have ever watched in my life. I mean, unforgiveness is what is breaking God's heart (it was one of my major issues). In fact, for years so many people have hurt me in many ways than one, from school even to church, and I wasn't happy, and I was carrying this heavy burden of pain, isolation, bitterness and even hatred. I couldn't make any tangible progress in life. Why? Because I found it extremely difficult to let go. But I am grateful to God that I have finally (and sincerely) released them; seeing this movie reminds me of the great importance of forgiveness. If we don't forgive others their trespasses, then neither will God forgive us, and our prayers will be hindered. I'm pleading with everybody in the household of faith watching this film or seeing this comment; please, if there is any burden that you are carrying, let it down at the feet of Jesus Christ. And if anybody who has offended you, please forgive them, and let God deal with your situations. Thank you. I finally completed this movie tonight, and I'd like to both praise and critique if that's okay. Let me start by saying I love the character and person of Bro John. He's my star of the movie. I award him my personal Oscar. He's just a natural both in his pastoral and naïve brother roles. These are aspects that I can relate with from personal experience. The plot remained realistic, while not diluting the many faith based messages conveyed throughout the story. Very many messages can be drawn, both generic and specific to the viewer. One very big one for me is that God is often not esoteric in His ways. He meets every of our need while we remain in Him, continuing in our daily at times mundane routines. Releasing and Receiving is yet another lesson learnt. The comedy baked into the story line is just refreshing. And the script is powerful. I actually had to write down some quotes from the script (Mr Damilola, I hope this is permitted). The acting by all characters was superb - Gbemi (pulled it off excellently), Favour, Gbenga (we now know who your interior decorator is!), and everybody. This is the first Dami Mike-Bamiloye movie I'll be seeing, and I'm not disappointed. On a critical note, there was a lot of typo in the transcription. A bit more attention could have been paid there. I also think some of the office scenes could have been more realistic - friends don't just pop into people's offices for gist and PA's don't just pop out in the middle of work (It's not Federal Ministry of xyz)! Lol! Fantastic movie in all! I pray Christian movie productions become bigger in Nigeria, and that God will raise passionate investors. Our Christian Nollywood actors could maybe participate as a way of giving. Just thinking.

That point where Gbemi released her hands to free her father and Gbenga brought Hot tears to my eyes. I need to release those who hurt me. Father give me the grace Lord. Thanks mount zion ministry.

Very entertaining but I ve learnt a lot. First work with someone especially on the journey of marriage whose 'frequency' matches yours. You must both be headed on the direction. At this point i must comment. Growing up as a kid, my Mum was a fan of Mount Zion Movies, like she would get the CDs and make us watch together (never really enjoyed it because i couldn't really relate - i concluded it was meant for the oldies). When i got into UNILAG (5 years ago), i got a conviction to filter the movies i watch, so i decided to stick to Christian movies, i didn't even consider going to Mount Zion Films at all. In my past five years, i've lost count of the foreign Christian movies i've seen (like if anyone needs Christian movies to watch in fellowship, i'm the plug) - though i get messages from them, but there is something about their culture you can't just take away Fast forwarding, Since the commencement of the lockdown, starting from The Train, i've been glued to this channel - Dami and Jaymike and Ella (I so love her personality, she's really funny. Even in the serious scenes, her voice makes me laugh. I'm certain she's one of the people that prolongs rehearsals) and Dara (dark beauty), you guys are so so so amazing... i pray God keeps on storming you with beautiful ideas...
