The Playstation Classic Mini console when it first came out was a failure. No one bought it, it had very lackluster emulation, It had almost zero options, and the games on the PS classic weren't great. But, what if there was a way to get more games on PS Classic? What if you could mod the PS classic and jailbreak it to get Retroarch running on it, play PSP games on the PS classic, and even run windows on it! Now you can! With Project Eris, it's never been easier to jailbreak your PS Classic. And, in this video, I show you what you can dow with a jailbroken PS Classic, how easy it is to mod it, and everything you'll need to get your PS classic setup.

Thanks for making this vid, it often feels like older games are actively being knocked out of existence especially when remakes of them are on the market, there's a real importance to preserving the history of games and this little box makes them playable on modern TV's.

Idk if it's just me, but I've heard a few older gamers say the same and it's just that we don't have time anymore for modern gaming, whether it be having to download big files, the way the games are set up for future dlc to keep you invested or having to grind non stop just to compete with other players online, throw work , kids, friends and family into the mix you have very little time to actually enjoy video games. That's what I love about these old emulators, it feels like most games pre PS2 you can kinda just pick up where you last left off and not have to worry about controls or remembering what you were doing. Anytime I played God of War 2018 it took me like 30 minutes just to get the hang of the controls again, never mind actually getting into the game and having fun. By that time its time to sleep for work the next day

Repent and follow Jesus! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20 Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state. “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.) Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.) Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894) The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed. The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

Minor nitpick: Sony didn't power limit the ports to 5V - that is the USB spec. Wattage is limited on the ports, but that's still within spec. It may work with a powered hub, as well.

Search for Hackchi2 and enjoy. I'd post a link but KZfaq doesn't seem to like such things. I have a "fully loaded" Mini SNES.

Very useful and informative video. I've owned a PS1 Classic since they came out, grabbing one for £15 when the stores heavily discounted them to clear stock. I did mess around with modding it at the time but then packed it away. It will definitely be coming out again to try this new setup.

It’s criminal Sony didn’t include Tomba 1 or 2 in the Classic originally. Tomba 2 was the first game I ever played on PS1 as a kid and convinced me to save up a year’s worth of chore money to buy the system and game. I was like 10 years old, covered in lawn trimmings, kitty litter, and dog hair from all those chores. Almost looked like I was cosplaying Tomba when I finally showed up to buy it.

Hey I have an unopened one of these I scored for 40 bucks on amazon, since i had the actual ps2,3,4 already, figured i should complete the set. How can anyone NOT sub to this channel after this video, assuming you're interested in this and it's not a really random youtube suggestion. How nice you are with the award appreciation, your ad is for planting trees and getting a cool name at the same time, and you turned a ps1 into an... everything. Can't wait to hack mine, hope you make another video soon about the steam deck. Noticed they don't come out often but they are at least thorough. Dammit Jeff, make more videos.

Dude, thank you so much for this video. I pre-ordered this, but before I even got it in the mail, I saw how crappy this thing was and when I got it, I didn't even open the box. I now have a reason to open the box. I was also a huge fan of the psp, so I'm definitely going to emulate my psp games on this. I've always wanted a way to play my psp games on TV.

My brother got me one for Christmas when it came out and I've never really touched it because the selection of games it came with was pretty meh. I just texted him to let him know it's gonna go to good use now lol

I still have my dads original play station classic from the 90’s and I’ve always considered getting one of those all-in-one retro consoles so we can play the games from my childhood with him and he can get back into his favorite OG games. I had no idea this sort of thing even existed. Thank you so much for this video. You’ve inspired me to do this for my father’s console. Now we can relive the gaming of our young father/son days!!! Thank you!!!

This was incredibly useful and very articulated. If you how to's for the other mini systems, could you please specify which one would be the best in terms of hardware to runs said emulators, as I can imagine they are aren't using the same hardware. Either way, absolutely loved this video and all the links, I really appreciate this! Can finally share my favorite games with my kids on the big screen.

It has a much slower processor vs the PSC.... 1.08 GHz vs 1.53 GHz on PSC. There are more emulation options for PSC than the other mini consoles. Check out KMFDManic's YT channel. He makes Xtreme core packs for the mini consoles.
