The Secret Service watched the gunman on the roof for half an hour, did nothing and still let Trump take the stage. How is that not intentional?

The secret service has 24/7 access to the man, and you think they decided the best time to do it was n the middle of a rally? You think they would go with the plan that made it look like it was all their fault? Why ragging on the women agents when a male officer backed down when he confronted the shooter on the roof. And the anti-snipers had a bead on the shooter & failed to kill him before he fired a number of shots, so were they all DEI hires? There were plenty of male agents there so why aren't they blamed for what was an overall failure in the field at the operational level. Apparently agents were aware there was a threat almost thirty minutes before the shooter fired his weapon, were they all, including the men DEI hires? No person's sex had anything to do w/ that security failure. All of that said, the excuse given for not having that bldg. properly secured was lame b/c only having men inside the bldg, who apparently didn't hear anyone on the roof, was not adequate to secure the bldg.

You need to be tougher if you're going to make a decision like that. The Secret Service makes alot of money and every 4 years they get more people on their list who require protection.

The building was outside the security perimeter. Early reports said that he was denied entry due to the rangefinder, then they lost sight of him in the outer area. The CNN video referenced here seems to have it confused. Secret service was tasked with the area inside the perimeter, local and state had the outer areas. An effective plan should have required someone on that roof, plus possibly something on the ground to interrupt line of sight, and faster communication when it was at the potential threat stage.

I heard that he passed the checkpoint into the secure area, carrying only the range finder and then left the secure area and never returned to it. For some reason, the building he shot from was not included in the secured area

Probably took an estimated distance reading first to dial in his scope to save time, he would have known snipers were there and that he would have small window of opportunity before being spotted. Im sure he did a google earth recon before going to find location and just got lucky with the security circus.
