I don’t understand why someone like Damon would go on “Breakfast TV” what’s in it for him? To sell more records? Surely fans of Damon know when he has new material out and conversely how many “Breakfast TV” watchers are thinking “ooh I like that new Damon Albarn song?” Meanwhile, he has to subjugate himself to be interviewed by these banal non entities. There’s Dan wotsisname, the god bothering soccer anorak who immediately thinks of Chris Waddle when he hears the word “mullet”. Lord give me strength because he hasn’t given Dan an ounce of originality. And then there’s interviewer number 2, I’ve no idea who she is, but she seems to think she’s important because she now has a wardrobe allowance. Don’t worry love you can stop your internal sniggering, there’s a segment on the relaunch of Sex and the City’ coming up later in the show.

Maybe by going on here his music can reach a new audience, a new generation. Just think, someone may have discovered Damon's music for the first time having watched that.
@rasher3312 жыл бұрын
At the end of the day, most people associate Damon as part of an act and he hasnt had any mainstream music out for a good while plus hes older now. So he probably needs to do some marketing. There's not too many pop shows on t.v. these days. So hes resorted to Breakfast TV. He made a bad choice going onto the BBC show though, the pair of them have no clue of music.

You're just a simple pop music fan, nothing wrong with it. But musically speaking the way Damon Albarn has evolved as a musician from Britpop to this is quite amazing.
