The only reason there relationship was “toxic” was because everyone else was telling them it was. Caroline constantly shaking Elena, Stephan hating Damon, everyone made them feel like they couldn’t love each other

Damon constantly threatened the people she “loved” yet she came running back to him, Damon has threatened her bother and KILLED her brother several times and she went running back to him Damon also killed one of her so called “Bestfriend” and they’re still together, they were such a cute couple but it was toxic and as Elena said “Damon makes me do crazy things” very toxic. Let’s not forget how manipulative Damon was towards Elena

Elena best friend Bonnie is Damon's best friend, Elena's guardian Ric is best friend of Damon. Her brother Jeremy has best bonding with him than any other male in tvd. Her ex boyfriend or best friend Stefan will do anything for him. Matt ,Tyler and in later seasons even Caroline has great relation with him. If they don't have any problems, then why should Elena.

He loved Elena either way if she was a vampire or human. She fell in love with Damon twice knowing all the bad stuff he did. They were honest with each other. They would always find their way back to each other. He gave her a love that consumed her, he gave her passion, and even an adventure. He challenged Elena. I mean sure stelena was cute and all but it was high school love. Damon was the love of their life. If her love of her life was Stefan she would’ve never fell for Damon.

Elena loved him so much that even with Stefan she couldn’t stop the feelings she had for Damon, deep down she loved the danger and mystery about him but felt bad for it, the bond is so strong that even without memories she fell in love with him AGAIN . No one can say the sire bond influenced her at all !

Yeah… I feel like during season 3 while she was starting to have feelings for Damon she still had some unfinished business with Stefan. I didn’t think I was gonna be a fan of delena but the way the show was going I felt like they really did fit better. They brought out the best in each other.

Thinking how they started and how they ended up is truly amazing! I loved that it was a slow burn, their build up was perfection, not forced at any moment! Great edit! Years later and people still make edits of Delena, loved that!

This edit is just so beautiful, and it's so cool how significant the moment Damon and Elena first meet is, because she said that maybe it would be different if they had met first. And I feel like the reason that the line "you want a love that consumes you" has such significance is in the fact that she explained to Matt how she felt about of Stefan vs Damon. And when he asked about Damon, she said "He consumes me." And that's before we even see the scene where Damon says it

This is by far the most beautiful delena video. I like how in the song it goes “I brought you daferdills” and then you see Damon giving Elena the flower. Very creative and I love the song you chose, this is probably the best song out of the whole series. Thank you ❤️

Anyone else just love this relationship and not only for it being on screen, but for the characters obviously having such chemistry because they dated and broke up during the show? So many scenes where the acting is just spot on with these two. Love it
