Born and raised in Bulgaria, currently living in Munich, Germany, I start listening to hip-hop when I was 12. I discovered the culture through legendary names such as KRS-One, Public Enemy, Biggie, Nas, Guru and Pac.
I started making beats as soon as my mom bought me a 150 $ second hand PC and I found a way to instal Fruity Loops on it.
My work is highly influenced by Premier, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Alchemist and Pete Rock. Even though the boombap sound is in the center of my production I constantly try to experiment and incorporate different genres and sounds in my music. Here I upload some compilations of classic instrumental music and also my beat tapes, my instrumentals and my own sounds...

MAAAD PROPS for this one NAS K! For me, Damu is without a doubt my FAV producer makin beats these days. Watching and listenin' to him grow from his early 'hand over the MPC' vids back in 2006, then 'Travel At Ya Own Pace', to a masterpiece like 'Vignettes' or 'Dreams n Vibrations' has been truly inspiring. 9:40 mins so far and loving it. That's the style that I understand to be not like "oh, let's use all pads, all tones, all levels that we can because it's an MPC and we have to show it...". Beautiful. Slick, polished, well-carved kicks and snares, hi-hats, and snares into a great ambiance harmony. Not fusing in to be impressive, better than the others, as I can see. Less ego = better human. Very elegantly used Jazzy samples. Simply Excellent!

Love seeing all of the appreciation in the comments on hip-hop/jazz instrumental videos. It’s a beautiful thing when those two forms of music collide. I think Damu personifies Madlib's early career when he was still programming SP-1200 drums...likwit crew/ lootpack era Madlib that is. Damu's style touches that the most

Man, how this guy so perfectly was able to recreate the spirit of 90's boom bap beats but also in a way that still feels inspiring and innovative 30 years later is crazy. Very underrated producer. I really feel like he could get his props if he got the right artist on one of his projects. It'll never happen now but DOOM and Damu could have made something great. It would of course have been titled DaMOO FM.

Damu is a legend in his own right, but I will always maintain that if he was active just 10-15 years earlier in his career he would be regarded as one of the greatest producers ever. I imagine he would be have been wildly prolific in the early 90's; I can see him producing for guys like Das, Biggie, Big L, Nas, Mobb Deep... His attention to detail and instinct is matched by only a few complete juggernauts of Hip-Hop.
