This is my first time REALLY paying attention to the lyrics of the song but I just realized her voice changes in accordance to what the lyrics say. @@mrosskne the song isn't even really about anything. It's hard to explain with the visual, but basically listen to it with headphones and English subtitles. One lyric is "going from the left to the right" and as she sings that part, the audio moves from left to right as well

@@prypp3997 - the hinderburg disaster (a huge Zeppelin airship by Nazi Germany exploded, in the original vid, it was a giant blimp in flames with Kiara (an austrian) and mumei) - the challenger explosion (Sana with Mumei and a rocket that went scuff) - the part where mumei and fauna chases down ollie was given a minecraft background in this one (idk if the past reference was supposed to be the capturing of the Indonesian islands since mumei and fauna was chasing down Ollie while Moona was chopping down a tree in the background, this one might be a reach)

At like the 0:29 mark, when the voice starts to oscillate, you briefly hear an absolutely lovely voice. Whether that’s the mixing software or the “idol voice” being dropped briefly, it’s really pleasant to the ears.

The way you do this is having two duplicate tracks--one an octave higher, the other an octave lower--and cross-fade each track in and out. Do *not* use pitch shifting, that changes the note and makes it dissonant instead of keeping it in key.

So, the replacements are 1. Sanana no longer fly during the big ship doing surf 2. the KFP 2300 that some chimkin forgot to turn the gas off > replaced by Atlantis vs Ina 3. The rocket launch that went the wrong way > replaced by UFO abduction of cowna 4. Ina was there when Kroni missed the icecream truck 5. Lots more stuff in MC scene 6. Post it changes from "Be good civilization" to "Buy more Holo merch" and "Mumei is always watching 7. Kroni finally catch the truck and fly away with it

For those who both don’t know Japanese and don’t use Closed Captions, Mumei’s voice is adjusted according to the lyrics. Basically, almost every line is of the form “Getting ______ and ______”, using the same word for both, like “Getting closer and closer,” or “Getting deeper and deeper.” Her voice is then changed through software to match the line. 0:00 and 0:51 - Her voice fades in (for the start) and gets louder for “closer”, “nearer”, and “louder”. It briefly gains a whisper quality for “shier”. 0:28 - It becomes pitched down for “wider” and “deeper”. 0:32 - It becomes pitched up for “thinner” and “cuter”. 0:37 - It uses the stereo speakers, too, moving from the left speaker to the right speaker for the line, “Gradually moving from left to right.” 0:42 - It then moves from the right speaker to the left speaker for the line, “Gradually moving from right to left.” 1:18 - Finally, it fades out and gets softer and quieter for “further” and “fainter”.

@@Deathboy_is_in_hell_now EDIT: I think actually I saw it discussed there were was a seen of a rocket ship blowing up and it seemed like a reference to the Challenger explosion and it was removed as it seemed in bad taste? What I said below could be me completely misremembering. If I recall correctly, there was a skyscraper being destroyed and either some people or Hololive became concerned it would be compared or seen as a reference to 9/11? As the video was about how Mumei was actually responsible for a lot of human disasters? Could be wrong but I think that's what I saw around the time it came out.

What you're probably misremembering is the Hindenburg reference, the reason that was taken out was because the Hindenburg was a Nazi airship and since the version in the original video was plastered with KFP logos it would look bad for Kiara

While I didn't have any issues with the previous one (I was pretty young when I heard about it and my older brother and sisters were around when it happened), I feel the changes do not really change much to the song's feelings. I saw some folks suggesting using the sinking of Atlantis as a replacement for one of the removed scenes, glad that actually made it in. That mythical event fits in perfectly with Gura's lore connection alongside Mumei's. And from the looks of things, an eldritch horror sunk the city.

This as beautiful as the day we lost it. Also, the last few seconds of the MV actually happen in the background of Kanauru's Skating Magni video whefe we can see Kronii lifting off with the Ice cream truck and Mumei staring into a window.
