There's obviously some other factor coming into play with Amad. There's more to football than just kicking a ball well. Something has happened with Ten Hag, another coach, or with some club official. He'll remain locked out until he fixes those issues. United have a history of promoting youth to the senior team; however, it has abandoned a practice the was common during its golden era under Ferguson. There's a reason Pogba was frozen out be SAF; though talented, he was a disaster in the making, and that's exactly how it bore out in the end. I've got my own concerns about Ten Hag's approach, but he's taking a stand on his non-negotiables and I'm fine seeing a player sit until they work those issues out (i.e. Sancho, Ronaldo, Amad, Etc). There's always someone more talented with a better disposition coming through ranks at United or that can be purchased from another club. If Amad doesn't figure it out, he'll be replaced. And, the club appear to be getting organized under Sir Jim, and stupid decisions like signing Pogba, a player flagged as having a misaligned disposition by by SAF, or playing players with emerging attitude problems, like Rashford, are less likely to occur.

@@GarthCampWhat issues are you talking about Amad has no issues he's only issue is Ten Hag's Antony favouritism...Amad is clearly better but Ten Hag thinks Antony is unstoppable and he will not want Amad making it so obvious he's better by giving him a chance.

@@ligerbeats6824 If quality on the pitch hasn't won him a spot then there is some other factor that's caused him to be frozen out. Sure, Antony is Ten Hag's player; however, at the moment, he needs wins more than he needs to remain loyal to Antony. There has to be something other than favouritism at play here. That said, we agree that Amad should be getting a chance. I'd even take Amad over Rashford at the moment.

Definitely needs to be part of the first team more frequently next season. I really rate this lad the way he always makes space for himself to receive the ball & he's a feisty tenacious wee lad aswell.

Judging by the comments he apparently didn’t have the best game . If the compilation is anything to go by he had a decent game . I witnessed many passes that went to the player . I witnessed tackles , worked hard and regained possession. Ok he may have been off at times . He’s a young lad , anyone that’s played the game understands a good footballer. He’s still Raw , but if some of your fans don’t rate him . Your Bonkers . Trust me he’s in the mould of scholes . Give the lad a chance .

It isn't realistic to blood in two first-year pros into the midfield of a club the size of United in a season where every mistake has been highlighted and poured over the way they have been this year. Mainoo is clearly ready, Gore needs a bit more time. I think this is a good move as long as he gets games next season. Definitely shouldn't be sold.
