This song is very dramatic and goes from a very slow and dark sound, then build up to a battle cry anthem where you feel like galloping on war horses into the battlefield! I love how the song’s bridge goes into almost a lullaby sound, then rips back into an EPIC crescendo!!!! The power Dan expresses in this is FIRE!!!! Great comments, brother about this rendition! THANK YOU for reacting to this. I don't know if anyone else knows how to pronounce Brandon's last name, either. It's spelled Geeraerts, but that really doesn't help. I just say, "GEAR-arts," but who knows if that's even close. So don't feel lonely! 😀 I was laughing a bit at some of your obvious reactions. This song hit me VERY hard the first time, and I was reacting very similarly (without the epithets, but that's just because it's my choice not to use them--there were 14 years in my life when I did). However, the same FEELINGS were there, and the same love of the DRIVE of the song. I'm a 74-year-old Grandma & Great-Grandma. I'm also a WARRIOR. I've never given in to statements like, "Well...that's just how it is, so get used to it." For one thing, for 10 years, after I was abandoned by a husband who chose to go elsewhere, leaving his four children behind (to this day, the oldest three rarely see him, and the youngest barely ever has), I had to raise said four children on my own, until I met exactly the right, strong man to whom I've now been married for nearly 42 years. I was already the oldest child of a pioneer-type family, and one of the survivors of the huge 1964 Alaska earthquake. I learned how to be a strong girl, and then a warrior woman. I'm not talking about going to war like the soldiers in this song, but about taking on life as if I were going to win, because I am. I'm a strong believer in the Lord, and I will tell everyone (though there were 14 years of my life that I wouldn't admit it, and I walked in the other direction) that He doesn't LOSE. He never HAS, and He never WILL. Therefore, I also choose not to LOSE. That's also one of the things I love the most about Dan Vasc. He's all about POWER and STRENGTH and VICTORY. Again...I'm not saying he's out there being on the WRONG side of "winning." He is a believer, also, but he understands that that does NOT mean you have to be a "wimp." Being STRONG, does not necessarily mean you are a MEAN or AWFUL person. It just means that you know how to make a stand. I was just checking to see if you have a paid request system, but you don't seem to, so...I'll just suggest three of the top ones that I'm SURE many others have already mentioned, and probably more will, over the next few days. I haven't read the comments yet, so I'll just make a short list. They are all on DAN'S channel (his covers)...not the originals. Personally, I'd rather listen to Dan's version of just about anything, so...here you go. My top suggestion would be the following song. It will introduce you to Luis Mariutti (also a Brazilian), and you should definitely listen all the way through Dan's pretty important OUTRO (after you get your breath back)... [ Black Wind Fire and Steel ] The second song I would suggest, is a bit short, but I think you will LOVE it... [ "Kings Of Metal" - MANOWAR Cover | Feat. Cederick Forsberg ] My third suggestion (and that's enough for now), has a very different "flavor," but it's also a very IMPORTANT message. Dan, himself, was going through (or had just gone through) a time of deep depression in his life. He shared the song for others to hear his encouragement. The first part is in Brazilian Portuguese, but it has full CC imbedded. He's talking to his fellow countrymen first and foremost, but it's VERY effective for anyone... [ "Heart Of Steel" - MANOWAR cover ] - - - - - - - - - - Probably plenty of others will have already, or will soon have, suggested the same ones, but there you have my top three choices of Dan's covers of MANOWAR songs. 😀

Dan brings so much of himself into a song. He has a passion for Manowar and he working on a tribute album at this time. I know you probably have his catalog of what he covers. But mixed within it he has some G & A that are really funny. Probably not for reaction purpose but if are interested in knowing more about Dan they are worth watching on your own. ❤ some people who are the newer fans of Dans tend to over react... take them with a grain of salt. Don't take it personally... I found Dan 8 yrs ago. Thank you for your reaction to one of my favorite Dan songs. He sings this song with so much power and passion, he just "lives" it. I like it better than the original 😳 because Dan sings it with much more emotion. And Brandon's great guitar playing makes this song another masterpiece.

Hi, thanks for a great reaction. this is one of my faves. In my opinion Dans voice gives this the power it lacks in the original. And while I liked the original I prefer Dans version.

Dan has more manowar covers.. Black wind fire and steel has an inshane ending, Fighting the world is also Good.. he also says something afterwards.. Kings of steel is also a manowar

I grew up in the 80s with Manowar, I love "Carry On" from the "Fighting The World" album. Normally I prefer Dan's versions, but here it's the Manowar original. The same with Beast in Black, Yannis the lead singer from Beast in Black has an amazing voice, worth a listen. Beast in Black has very catchy songs besides Blind an Frozen, e.g. Sweet True Lies or Born Again, or Ocean Deep, a very nice ballad 🤩👍🤘

Since you liked Manowar and want to keep on their track, try Heart of Steel covered by Dan, he again nails it, it’ll make you feel your blood running through your veins… and BTW, add subtitles from the beginning as Dan says something important in Portuguese

This cover of Battle Hymn is fantastic!!! Manowar is one of my top ten metal bands, however Dan's covers of Manowar songs are better than the originals. Dan has done 9 Manowar covers and they are amazing!!! Try listening to Carry On, Blood of My Enemies, Metal Daze and Black Wind Fire and Steel....just to name a few. Brandon and Dan rocked this one!
