Music is definitely Dan’s forte….he can do everything, and when it comes to metal music, he is in his wheelhouse of epicness! I would say that it is the style of music that moves Dan in the most powerful way, and you can feel that exuding from him as he sings. What I’ve noticed going through Dan’s music is that the last 4 years of music he has worked on, his approach to music really blossomed and opened up in even greater ways. My videos don't show myself. For this channel, I do voice-overs for the written articles I have created on my website. Even that, though, feels strange when I listen to my voice as the words and the background art that I've created pass by. On my gaming channel, I'm not seen, either. I record and narrate the games I'm playing. In Minecraft, I'm usually doing challenges, and I explain what I'm doing, and why. It's those videos that started people telling me that I should read (perhaps) children's books out loud. That would be harder, because of all of the copyright issues. I also build worlds and lots, and create Sims, in the Sims games, and then narrate them once I've created everything, giving information about how the gams work, as I go. I've pretty much gotten used to hearing my voice as the videos play, but I doubt that I will ever present myself on my channels, other than what you see to the left of this comment. Regarding this song, I also enjoy the strength and power that Dan brings to the story that he's telling. For one thing, my dad was a veteran of World War 2. I grew up hearing HIS stories of what it was like to be part of the motorized and medical brigade that followed General Patton everywhere during the war. Because of what HE had been through, we kids, our mom, and many of our friends learned a lot about war, WHY it happens, and the principles that carry the WARRIORS through until the end (either death or victory). Because of the principles he followed himself, due to that part of his life, we learned them, also, and will never forget or forsake them. Therefore, when Dan and the musicians who work with him in his presentations tell us, in song, about these stories about wars fought and victories won (or sometimes lost), AND about the wars that we fight every day, just to get through our lives in general, I really appreciate all the time, thought, and extra input to our lives, that Dan presents. Every song he sings, has a purpose and a message of some type, and I, for one, greatly appreciate what he has to offer. I've heard Brandon's last name pronounced either as "GEAR-arts," or "Gear-AIRTS." I've never hear HIM pronounce it, and I've only heard Dan just call him Brandon, so...your guess is as good as mine. You should check out "Thunderstruck - AC/DC Symphonic Heavy Metal version (cover) by Orion's Reign". (It's on the Orion's Reign channel.) Dan was the singer in the band for 2 or 3 years. There are also 2 special Christmas songs from that time.
