Dana is just amazing, it’s unfortunate that these “older” comedians don’t get enough respect. I agree Martin short, as a kid my favorite movie was Clifford, I still do the do do do do do do, dinosaur song when I get uncomfortable, while thinking of that movie. Anyway David Spade is also really funny, almost mind blowing to see him in real life.

One of my favorite Dana Carvey impressions was Ross Perot (sp) - the presidential candidate from Texas, I think it was '92? Ross Perot was a cantankerous old dude with the Texas twang - it was spot on.

yes, jimmy would have been better to not compete and be desperate for attention, and had the humility to just enjoy dana, and let us enjoy him (!)... without all the interruption and noise! jimmy is talented too, but tense and inauthentic quite a bit of the time.

Alexander Milentis Carvey could have had his own show back in 1993. They were considering him to take over the 1230 show on NBC after Letterman left for CBS. He turned it down.

I really like Jimmy overall I like his enthusiasm but sometimes he gets over excited and forgets he's on TV and there's an audience.

Perfect example of why I do not watch this show.. Fallon is actually trying to do the guests' bit LOUDER than the guest, nevermind the fact that the guest is a master impressionist.. He's totally interrupting the flow of the joke.. Good hosts know when to laugh or shut up completely..

I agree, I like what Jimmy can bring out sometimes with the competitive nature, but he takes it too far, too often. He's the opposite of Howard Stern, Jimmy likes to push you deep into your comfort zone, Stern likes to take you right out of it.
