That's not the fighter's call. These guys will get assess and evaluated through medical before they are green lighted to fight. I am pretty sure that gash on the eyebrow of Oliveria is pretty bad. Fighters have been stopped many times in bouts do to that kind of gash. Nate and Nick has fought were their bout was stopped do to that kind of injury. The top cut on the eye is worse than a bottom-cut because depending on how bad that cut is, it will cause the eyelid to swell and droop over in which you will lose your peripheral vision.

With enough punches that would be opened up easily which can lead to blood in his eye to impede his performance or to have a ref or doctor stop the fight.
