As a woman who has been married a couple decades and known many couples, I’ve seen when people get older and go out and think they can party like when they were young and end up in conflict WAAAYYYYY out of character and embarrass themselves. This appears no different to me, and his response clearly shows that. The greatest punishment he had was answering to his kids and embarrassing them, and they’re grown. If this was a usual event, there wouldn’t be any answering to the kids or shame in the first place.
