+holty1234567890 yes i get what you mean whit dragon age inquisition i think they are more comrades in arms then actuale friends. the only time where they acted as friends was at a game of cards. this dragon age really makes you feel for the carracters

well just pray that one day they might make the other game (even though I felt Inquisition could've been a nice way to end the series) like DA:O, also I hope they do an HD remake of this game for new gen consoles like how they're making an HD remake for the Arkham series!

Still one would have expected that maybe chemistry between characters would be a bit better as the series went...but somehow it feels like after origins the party always was sort of...divided in a sence Take 2 for instance, when you hear your party banter with one another you can tell at first they might not be best buds, but they grow into each other...and yet somehow the party is always divided to a certain extent. Take Merrill for instance, you can tell Isabella and Varric adore her, while other members grow closer to her...and yet one member of the group seems to outright bully her at times, Fenris, while another constant tries to be a nail on her side to the point he seems to make her mad, Anders, and another outright considers betraying her while pretending to be all nice and charming with her, Sebastian I dunno, it just feels like in later games somehow the party was a bit more fractured, I dunno, I just never got the feeling that anyone in your party would outright turn their back on you or betray you unless given a reason, and it kinda felt like despite certain tensions, everyone cared for one another and despite argues they would watch each other's back

yea it is a shame that the DA2 and DAI didn't really live up to the expectations, DA origins has the best characters, story, epic boss fight and everything that makes a RPG masterpiece. Bioware has alot to learn from the Witcher trilogy.

@@hyperion3145 they all treat her like a witch tho. She literally falls in love with you for just showing respect when it is given and appreciating her sense of humor. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance" when you meet her for free affinity points, like it's stupid easy to get on her good side. Seem to me like ppl write her off for being a witch of the wilds and for not following conventional social norms.

@@ethosterros9430 TBF almost every encounter where you can do something morally good, Morrigan will complain and be upset at it. For the rest of the party who is pretty on the side of helping people, kind of understandable for them not to like her.

@@lukeduran12 fair. Idk if shes upset but rather she always notes she doesnt see how this serves you because she was taught by flemeth to pursue self interest above all else. Funny enough even with the disposition negatives for doubt all the altruism you still end up with an abundance of disposition cap for her if you arent going out of your way to insult her. A lot of what she says is pure pragmatism, it's fair counsel. It's also a good foil because you cant have 2 skeptics in the same room. Basically she has doubts so you dont have to. Also you know if you do something particularly outrageously stupid shell be outraged as opposed to just saying "this doesnt serve you". Like when you refuse to do the ritual shes really mad because you're screwing both you and her, she doesnt get her old soul child and you die killing the arch demon, literally all you had to do was lie on your back and let her get you off before the battle and you survive a hero. You could argue maybe she had evil plans but shes generally fair minded if nothing else. Like honestly if you take away flemeths crap, I'd want more women to be like her, cuz at her core shes a decent woman. Shes too strong to be abused or taken advantage of and shes capable of genuine love when presented with a man of clear integrity.

@@ethosterros9430 I absolutely agreed, were unfortunately seeing the start of her character arc too, she says it best when you actually befriend her later down the line, she knows she's difficult from her lack of social experience and focus on survival. Its just understandable seeing where the others come from as well, and how one can misunderstand her thoughts and meanings.

I think the explaination for her behaviour in Inquisition is that she is supposedly a very, very, very hardened Leliana that got forced to do some very shady shit for the Chantry after Origins XD...still that kind of bothered me, I mean you travelled with this lady to stop the Blight and the best you can say is "Oh she is decieving" and when you two meet you don't say anything? not even a hi? XD

It's bullshit how even if you have Aliistir, Morragin and Leilana together at Skyhold there are no meaningful interactions between the three of them besides a few throwaway comments. Those three were my main party during Origins and I wanted a bit more than that.

I remember being so hurt when she treated me like some threatening outsider during Josie's romance.

Depending on your warden of course, seeing as if any of the three are involved already I can see why you couldn't. But what if your warden didn't? And still these big three had little to say or do in general. Wasted potential

Actually I too think that's quite a common personality. I have a couple friends like that. They are good pals. I think the only thing that can be missing is the suave.
