Wonderful interview, recently discovered Gatica and was blown away by her personality on the dance floor, such a wonderful social dancer with great communication! The more you watch the more subtle things you come to the surface, the small hand movements, the shifts in tactics based on the partner, etc. Such a delight. Thanks for such an in-depth interview sharing her love and philosophy about dance.

Men go crazy over these dance acts, but Gatica makes a statement: women have their own personality and should never be used as sex objects again. There are enough people on this planet, too many in fact. Men should finally take that into account.

I think if a event or class dance bachata fusion & its tango or zouk any dance influence its should know because as lead if dance one style & dancing with a woman. It can be confusing & you can have awkward dance.

That's a great side thought, about musicality and how certain instrument create the bachata dance, but I beg to differ about that. I think the name is wrong in the sense of what it's called and maybe a new name is required to accept. Because I can move like a bachata dance bc of the 8 count. Anyway... it's a partner dance.
