I was honestly shocked they gave her 8s. People say she didn’t grow much as a dancer….she was already fantastic. So why did she get 8s? It’s so arbitrary.

The judges usually lower their scores at the beginning of the show. Yes, Charli and Mark got 8's but that was the highest they've given in Week 1, if my memory served me right. But as the show progressed, the judges started heightening the bar. So I don't see it as a big deal when they were given 8's.
