These are simple "pressure sensitive switches". We teach how to make small hand-held size versioin in the Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop. Use two pieces of cardboard about the size of a playing card. Glue aluminum foil to both pieces of cardboard. Place two slivers of foam between the cardboard to make a sandwich. Connect one alligator clip to one piece of card board and connect to the "earth" on the Makey Makey. Use a second alligator clip and connect it to the other piece of cardboard and connect the other end to the "up arrow" key on the Makey Makey.
