This was definitely a new side to Seventeen. I enjoyed this one for sure.

Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but my foundation also includes minor areas in ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.

The fact that Seventeen is out there performing 4 year old song to western media is just amazing. Unlike most groups who performs their more recent songs. It gives their older masterpieces to shine and I think thats actually pulling more audiences to them. Not that their recent songs arent masterpieces or anything its just that it kinda gives the audiences an insight to what their songs before were.

They surprised all carats with this performance also… 😂😂 we didn’t even realize a version like this could happen… they also made a don’t wanna cry orchestra version and a ballad version… and it’s all diff as well.. just goes to show their level of creativity and passion for music and performance in general.. I can’t wait for you to hear and see the latest releases and the Japanese tracks also…

Josh and Vernon are probably about level when it comes to English fluency. Josh grew up in LA with English as his first language, Vernon was born in NY but moved to Korea when he was five and was raised fully bilingually afaik. So they're both native speakers, Vernon just has two native languages.

i was shook when i heard this lilili yabbay version, i still haven't recovered tbh lol lately it feels like the units dont even make sense anymore bc they are - and im saying this as objectively as possible - all rounders, each and every one of them, and they keep improving with every performance and comeback.. crazy talented

The 13 members can dance, sing and rap. There's no hole. At the same time all of them have a unique color, plus the combinations between them are limitless. SVT = talent. Carat = proud fan :) Don't forget to stream Ready to love!

The fact that all 13 can sing, dance, and rap isn’t new in caratland and that makes us really proud 💖💙 I mean unit switches are a thing during fanmeets. You didn’t get to see vocal unit go ham yet since pinwheel is one of (if not) the lightest vocal unit song so there’s not that much going on 😂 but glad you enjoyed that performance 💖💙

We knew Performance Unit had vocal abilities especially Hoshi, but none of us saw this version coming At.All. I was sitting there with my mouth hanging open the first time I watched. I was like, fortunately they introduced their units first or non-carats might get confused. 😂

thanks for reacting to something a little different from the type of reaction you'd normally do!! i'm glad you got to see this as you're getting into seventeen! Lilili Yabbay.... comp[letely blew everyone away. and it was a perfect example of how seventeen doesn't JUST have a good balance of roles and strengths in the group, but also that everyone in the group is multitalented. everyone can dance, pretty much everyone can rap, and everyone can S I N G.

ALSO.... you don't have to react to it here, but if you like dk and seungkwan's voices, you should listen to Say Yes!!! it's their ballad duet... and it's so gorgeous. so if you're ever in the mood for a sort of r&b ballad, definitely listen to it!!

One of the great thing about SVT, is that they are versatile. They can go from a variety of performances to a stripped down performances, that is just acoustic performances where they let their voices shine and nothing else, which shows that they are not just the most synchronized group in the Kpop industry, but they are more than that.

Vocal unit usually doing harmonization when they sing. You could watch 'Habit' performance in japan arena tour. Habit is a really good ballad song. It was my fave song of svt too. It was clear they were songing with harmonization. I think they don't do it in here bcs they want to make performance look better. You know, people always expecting if you dance then you can't sing, which in svt is non sense. Dance performance members also good at singing, that's might what they want to trying to say. That's why the make vocal unit singing it raw. I still can't get over this version. I love how they are not afraid to try new things. I admire them so much, and how made me realize sometimes labels are just that. Also Joshua and every member had his highlight in this version and I love it ♡

i know this channel is mainly about dance and performances but i recommend you to also listen to “habit” and “don’t listen in secret” of the vocal unit (preferably the live performance ones). they have lots of adlibs there ! although habit is from the don’t wanna cry album and don’t listen is way back the boomboom album

Seventeen are so good, I get frustrated sometimes 😂. Like you said, all 3 official units have different vibes but they fit together seamlessly as a whole group with another vibe entirely. But they're all so talented and versatile that you can also mix&match the members any way you want and you'll get yet another vibe (their mixed unit songs and age line songs hit different). And then, they'll just pull out completely new (and amazing) versions of their own songs out of nowhere. Just because they can and they like to mess around with their music and see what comes out. Finally, the fact that they still perform 4 y.o b-side tracks on shows, when most groups stick to their latest title track, is a testament to how involved and passionate they are about each and every song they make.

I hope you can react to flower by seventeen. It is choreograph by our maknae dino and its a bop. With seventeen you will be surprise with their ability and also you need to know that they achieve their success by their own hard work and sweat and tears. I have been a fan of seventeen since 2015 and they always suprise me everytime i see them perform. I love when i see you smile like proud dad when you watch them.

Joshua and Vernon are both American citizens... :) Joshua lived in LA till he moved to Korea to become a trainee at 15... Vernon lived in NYC till he and his family moved when he was 5y.o. But his mom never learned Korean till he debuted when he was 18 so at home they still spoke in American english.
