After diving into Kang Daniel, I figured I'd get more acquainted with Wanna One because I was lightweight informed about this group since Produce 101 season 2. We're diving in deep with this group!!!
Let me know what you want me to watch! Or better yet, suggest another type of content I should make that could help you learn more about dance! Whether you're an aspiring dancer, training to be a K-Pop idol, or just want to appreciate the art of dance-

Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but my foundation also includes minor areas in ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.

Oh wow. Did not expect this. Thanks for reacting. Energetic’s expression holds a different spot in my heart (as a fan of W1). I’d be interested to see you react to their BEAUTIFUL Performance MV. I think it is one of the most expressive choreo of theirs that tells so much about ‘longing’. Enjoy.

FYI this Energetic choreography had some changes after Daniel injured his hand. The changed choreography is the one they have been performing for the rest of their promo. There’s also difference in Energetic remix choreography

woah never would have thought you gonna reacted to wanna one. what a pleasant surprise, thank you👍 now that you've started it, please react to all of their vids😁 'star studded group', every single member has star quality, and that's exactly why wanna one just EXPLODEd since day1. their songs n choreos though still in the idol pop realm, got extras that just differentiated them somehow. they really set the bar high. quality speaks for itself indeed.

11:22 part was slightly changed following Daniel's injury. Although the choreography is common, it's still hard but they make it seem easy

Wannaone is a perfect example of a fabricated group. They had their limelight while they were active, made a very touching story for their fans but after their contract ended, they abandon one of their member just as quickly. Their friendship still sells to their fans but they also caused a mental breakdown to one of their supposed to be "friend", Kang Daniel. I'd say check them out but honestly, there are better groups in kpop worth seeing 💅

Thanks for checking out Wanna One 😁 It's really great throwback and I haven't seen the videos for a while since I would miss them together too much. Good to be on this journey with you though. I know you know most but just a brief rundown on where they are now: Yoon Jisung (Leader/Vocal) - Soloist but just came out of the military. He was Daniel's labelmate during Produce 101 and the reason he joined the show. Ha Sungwoon (Vocal) - Soloist and mostly on variety shows Hwang Minhyun (Vocal) - with Nuest as you know Ong Seung Wu (Vocal) - Actor with 2 dramas as main lead and released 1 EP Kim Jaehwan (Lead Vocal) - Soloist under Stone Music Kang Daniel (Rapper/Vocal) - you know 😊 Park Jihoon (Vocal/Rapper) - Soloist and Actor as well with 1 drama so far Park Woojin (Rapper) - With Ab6ix Bae Jinyoung - (Vocal) - With the group Cix Lee Daehwi (Vocal) - With Ab6ix and composer Lai Guanlin - (Rapper) - active more in Taiwan/China

W1 is a good memory for some & not so good memory for others 😅 because of the things that happened during the group days & after disbandment. In my humble opinion, the music choices & concepts given to them by their agency during 1.5 years was quite standard for bgs, the most impactful (imo) would be “Energetic” & “Burn it up” but its also because they still had the PD hype at the time those songs were released. I feel like the group shined because of the individuals & teamwork; each of them made it work & were excellent in “the position(s)” they were given. They were loved because of their image & brotherhood like bond. However, being in a group, individuality & skills of each of the members were toned down & limited in order for the overall performances of the group to be smooth. Re-visiting the group’s performances will give you a clearer view of how much each member has grown & evolved over the past 2 years after disbandment. Even tho I’m not a fan of the group, I hope you enjoy their work & this journey! :)

Energetic was written by Hui and Wooseok of Pentagon, another group you should dive into someday.

@@DonKawaii1 Besides the many songs he's written for Pentagon, he's written for artists like Shinhwa and Bvndt. Most recently he helped write Wei's Twilight. If you haven't seen Pentagon's Dr. Bebe (also written by Hui & Wooseok), I highly recommend it.

Wow you're really digging into Daniel's past. I actually don't like their debut album even though I'm a Wannable and has been Daniel's fan since pd101. Their second album (or should I say repackage of the first album?) is the best for me, title track Beautiful. The choreography of Beautiful is interesting. The dance and the song itself reflect the relationship between Wanna One and Wannable, which is sad (I love sad stories). But, in terms of choreography, Kangaroo is my favorite among all Wanna One's songs.

I think Wannaone as a group had so much potential. If only their company wasn't so toxic, they would be so much more successful. At their height, they were the 3rd most popular boy group after exo and bts. The phrase exbangwan was so popular back then, it stands for exo, bangtan, and wannaone
