I genuinely believe that Christi wouldn’t have been pleased if Chloe was treated better than the others. I remember her in season one saying she’s turned down 2 solos because she wanted Nia and Paige to shine and she never accepted the offer for Chloe to go to the AUDC either as it would have been unfair on the others. So this whole jealously thing baffles me. She just wanted the kids to be treated equally. MELISSA, however, would stab anyone in the back (even children) to make sure MADDIE (not so much Kenz) got to the top. Pretty much why the mothers always had a “go” at her.

All performers everywhere EVER know that if something goes wrong onstage you KEEP GOING. Lol it's not cheating it's called Performing 101 and it happened because Maddie learned her freakin' lesson after forgetting the same dance two weeks prior. Hahaha I always loved when the moms revealed just how little they knew about performing and entertainment. They've always been so angry that Maddie uses criticism to her benefit and the others girls have been ingrained with too much entitlement to compliments that they don't.

The moms aren’t mad that Mellissa told Maddie to keep dancing if the music skipped. They’re mad because WHY would Mellissa tell her that JUST NOW? That would be one of the first things Mellissa should tell her child when dancing. And it just so happened she said that the day before the competition the music skips.

Personally, I could go either way. If they were telling Maddie to continue if her music skips, then that’s understandable because a dancer SHOULD continue if there music stops. However, if they were purposely stopping the music or even if Maddie knew the music was going to stop, then that is cheating because in that case, she is practicing in a way to do that.

Tbh abby just needs to accept that all of the girls are equal. Let me just scratch this CD in the perfectly right spot lol these moms are cray. If anything, maybe the CD was messed up in rehearsal and abbey told her to keep going if that happens during competition. Every dance teacher should tell their kids this before any competition. I highly doubt she would do this on purpose, especially after what Maddie just went through with forgetting this dance and losing her confidence.

The eyes are the window to the soul and Melissa’s body language completely betrayed what she was saying, the way her eyes shifted down after saying “oh I will” was the ultimate giveaway that she was in on it. She tried to double bluff by telling one of the moms on the phone about Abby telling Maddie to dance on if the music skipped. The coincidence of Abby saying that a day before it happened was so obvious it was a fix, that Melissa got panicky and she felt the need to mention it to try and reinforce the lie, using the ‘why would I have told you she said it if I knew it was done deliberately?’ card. Melissa is a bad liar, every time she lies on the show her eyes give her away. Even the confrontation is between Melissa and Abby is just lip service. Melissa feels embarrassed and is struggling to find words because she knows it’s for show for the other moms. Abby is grinning and looks to the floor when she says no, because she also knows it’s lip service and it’s all for show. There’s no real emotion in either of them and Melissa never confronts Abby so the fact she walked in, bold as brass, through a lesson and sends the kids away, shows it was all for show, she knew Abby would pick up what was happening and wouldn’t be genuinely offended.

When I do competition, my dance instructor always tells me the same thing. Keep on dancing. For all the judges know, it’s part of the dance.

Melissa complains about Maddie not having enough time to practice but she's the one who takes away Maddie's practice time .I would also be angry at my mum if she came in during my rehearsal time and told me to leave.This is not only unfair for Maddie as well as Chloe because she is missing out on rehearsal .Unlike Maddie she can't just schedule more practice time because Abby hates Christi and Chloe .

For people who don’t get the problem, of course you are instructed to keep dancing onstage. What this episode implies is that Abby used a messed up tape on purpose, so Maddie would keep on dancing without hesitation. That would be cheating because it would make Maddie look like an extra flawless dancer, which she kinda is

In all fairness..... I work with gymnasts and when we are running their floor routines, we challenge them by causing problems with the music. We might start the music before they are in position, delay the music and make them hold their position for over 30 seconds, skip the first 3 seconds of music, pause the music halfway through etc. and we do all of this to prepare them if anything goes wrong at competition. So really, it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to have the kids practice with skipping or jumping music. Making it skip at competition on purpose is another story.
