Brynn didn't follow a lead they both kept dancing Brynn is more advanced just as Chloe was more advanced than Maddie but Abby is smart. You can choreograph anyone to win against another. Give Maddie the turns she does best and a ton of them. If she doesn't fall out of them as she's been doing... She will win against a Brynn solo if you just give Brynn a lot of walking around and posing. Same dance? Brynn hands down.

No, this was all staged. Originally the music didn’t stop. The producers edited it like that. So Yeah No one was following someone’s lead

The music stopped! Brynn is so amazing, she keeps dancing anyway. Jill: I think Kendall should be up there. I can't wait for Kendall's duet! What if Kendall did two duets in one week? +tmcke +Jar Jar Binks When the music stopped Brynn was in the middle of an attitude and could hardly freeze in the middle of it. You can see at about 22 seconds that she was supposed to keep her head facing the front until the last possible moment but she turned her head earlier so she could see what Maddie was doing and if she should keep going. I'm not saying that they don't both deserve the credit for being professionals and finishing the dance but Brynn did look at and follow Maddie's lead. Why is that such an insult or a big deal anyway?

For a girl trained at the ALDC, Maddie sure did hold her own, here. Her technique looked incredible next to Brynn who is a highly trained technical dancer. Maddie is unreal...she just never stops improving. This was definitely a "Brynn" dance too....all legs, technique, and grace...they both did amazing.

They were one. Together as one. I don't see a duet, I saw a solo. The person and your shadow. Both the gilrs looked really amazing. I hope that Maddie had learn something to Brynn about techniques, and that Brynn had learn something to Maddie about change her face and show emotion. I'm in love with this duet.

Of Course Melissa will say that! She's threatened by Brynn's talent and it's her daughter. Brynn is amazing and holds her own to anyone on the team. If her mom would keep her mouth quiet she would have been a walk on addition to the team as Kalani was.

I'm so freaking tired of all the comparisons between Maddie and Brynn. They are dancing TOGETHER. Can't anybody compliment BOTH of them?? Instead of being childish and putting down one of them to raise the other. Brynn is a great dancer, well-trained, has good control, fluidity, extensions, stunning feet, god-given flexibility, and technique. Maddie is also a great dancer, she has musicality, stage-presence, amazing facial expressions, the ability to connect with the audience, emotional execution that's out of this world, and acting abilities that can capture you.They are both such different dancers, it's not even worth comparing the two. There is no "best" or "better" dancer, because it just depends on what you value in a dancer and that varies from person to person.

Wow! I couldn't keep my eyes off Maddie. She has improved tremendously. She has lovely technique. Her releve is higher, she has so much control. The way she makes you feel when she dances, is incomparable. So proud of her.

I think this duet showed that Brynn is above Maddie to un-biased fans. Wonderful duet but I found it hard to drift my eyes away from Brynn!

Also Maddie you could see struggling about in the kicks to hold them while it was easy for Brynn bc she often holds them for much longer. Maddie's leaps were most definitely not an over split, close but not quite while Brynn's were...

maddie was absolutely STUNNING and FLAWLESS! wow, i couldn’t take my eyes off of her, and i can totally understand why she was abby’s favorite (even tho i hate the way the others were treated). she has the emotion, passion, technic and much more. i could watch her for hours and wouldn’t be tired :)

WHY we can't watch all these beautiful dancers without always comparing them? Yes, someone is better than the other, sometime one of them dances better, but there's no need to compare the girls every single time. I love this duet, they were perfect together, in sync, beautiful, why we can't just appreciate this and say how much they are good instead of judging them? They are all great dancers, end of story💕

Ok, so this is the JUDGED version! The so called filmed version had all the music! They filmed both dances for reasons I don't know! This venue is always having issues with the sound system! Don't say it was fake, the venue is the only reason it stopped.

They film 2 versions of every single dance, one to be 'judged' and one to be filmed. They also do it to get different angles. The music stopping WAS fake. They've done this trick so many times now, it's ridiculous. The 'venue' is always 'having trouble with the sound' because they're told to cut it off, so they do. The show is the reason it stopped because the show is f a k e.

tbh, maddie has improved so much lately, that in my opinion, she's better than brynn. ok, maybe brynn's more flexible, but maddie just has such a raw, natural talent, that you rarely find in dancers. she has such a passion for dance, that it truly shows through any style she does. (not saying that others don't have passion). she puts so much effort into her dancing, and it's just captivating to watch her dance!

Brynn's emotions are rarely through her face, but more so on her body. I'm not saying that Maddie's way of expressing emotion is bad because she is captivating, but to me, I find Brynn better to watch because of her technique and innocence. Despite that, both are amazing.

infinity But the thing is, Brynn has better technique and grace, and she has lots of emotion on stage, just not in the show, but if you watch some of her other solos off of dance moms such as Enter One and F.O.R.E.V.E.R. you can see the emotion! Plus, Brynn has amazing feet!

Your delusional. Brynn is leaps and bounds ahead of Maddie as a dancer. Can Maddie preform? Sure, but it’s nothing different from what she has done since season 1. Maddie is a dry, stale preformer with manufactured emotions. She has as much raw talent as my toe jam! Brynn is a true prodigy and it shows that she has had superior training.

I remember the first time I watched this, I cried! It was the first time I felt pure motion, from a Maddie duet since Chloe left. They definitely should’ve given Maddie and Brynn way more duets! I can’t believe they only had one!! Maddie’s facial expressions/emotions, and Brynn’s beautiful follow-throughs & sweet smile. Absolutely stunning.❤❤

For once it actually wasn't staged. This competition is notorious for messing up people's music. LOTS of people had their music skip on this competition day. The strange thing is that this is the JUDGED version that they are not allowed to show. Normally they can only show the unjudged version because that's when filming is allowed.

They are so different dancers. Brynn is so graceful and such a (both technically and emotionally) flawless ,for her age, dancer. Maddie on the other side, has great emotion and brings that little extra maturity into the duet. Anyways, great job girls!

Yes! I think real dance fans can see that... Brynn is really amazing. And of course maddie is great at performing facials and musicality ..that is why some people think that she is the best, they are not really looking on the technical side of things.

By far my favorite duet on dance moms!! You can see how much Maddie has improved, her oversplits are absolutely gorgeous and I can’t believe how much her point has improved! And they both look sooo good together, they’re so in sync, glad this duet exists hahaha. I’m just sad because there never was a Maddie, Kalani and Brynn trio. Those three were the best on the team and they all were so amazing and effortless I would’ve loved to see them do a trio.

This is just AMAZING!😍💕 They were able to dance without the music for a long time and I'm really impressed! They followed each other and continued dancing. And they were in time together which is also amazing! This is a beautiful duet and of course it would have been better with the music but Brynn and Maddie kept on dancing which is what matters. What place did this duet get?

For everyone saying that Brynn is better than maddie, that Maddie is awful compared to Brynn or anything like that, just stop. Brynn is an amazing dancer but so is Maddie. They are both great dancers. Brynn is not better than Maddie and Maddie is not better than Brynn. They still have a lot to learn so you can't say one is better than the other. They are both amazing and there's no need to put Maddie or Brynn down. If you prefer Brynn is okay, but don't try to tear down Maddie just because you feel the need to. They are both flawless dancers and they both deserve respect equally.

This is my favourite duet! They did great even when the music stopped! I've been taught to dance like there isn't music and just focus on the counts. It actually works very well!
