theres a big difference between an acro dancer that does a lot of tricks using her back, like Brooke, her back might have been hurt from exhustion, however , Kalani is mostly a lyrical contemporary dancer and she doesnt do a lot of back flexibility tricks, so if her back hurts its porbably sth serious

I absolutely think Mama Melissa made the right call in calling Kira and telling her that she didn't think Kalani should be dancing with a back injury. I understand she wants to dance and she doesn't want to let her team down, but Melissa's right....its not worth risking her health and her career as a dancer for ONE dance. She can heal and dance later. And good for Abby for actually seeing Kalani's injury for what it was and agreeing with Kira and Melissa that Kalani shouldn't dance and risk making it worse. I remember back in the day when Kendall and some of the others had injuries and she wasn't so wise. It was "dance or be banished to the bottom of the pyramid"

the show makes it look like Melissa has favours Maddie more but I'm sure it's not like that. as someone mentioned, the show is edited so much to create more drama or "buzz" and there is a video on a channel called MackZ boss or something which kind of proves that Melissa loves them both equally. just to clarify I am not trying to go against you or anything, just sharing my view. 😊

So if Abby was running normal dance school she would want them to stay away so she can teach without interference from mothers who thing they are the world's greatest dance teachers. But the producers want the mothers there- the show is dance moms. So when they're not there they get Abby to "put (pretend) pressure" on the mothers to come back to justify them quitting work/leaving their families ect. She said that about wanting them to stay away in season 1. But the show was far less scripted then and Abby could run the thing mostly how she runs a normal dance school. I mean is season 1 Melissa went on vacation and Abby didn't bat an eyelid.

Everyone is like omg Kira is so selfish! She just Gave birth people!! Let her rest! Yes ik there is a dad but she literally gave birth so she needs to rest. Yeah I agree, dads can’t breastfeed like wtf, Kira would have to pump a crazy amount to leave the baby home with him. It would have been so much more stressful, kalanis like 14 here, she’s old enough to take care of herself for the most part. Idk why everyone’s acting like having a baby is easy lol

Plus she forgot all about the fact that Kira herself has to recover from giving birth. There is a reason why you don't go back to work until months after giving birth even in the US. You cannot just give birth and be ready to fly across the country so you can sit at a dance study to get into fights a few days later.

It's not that simple, Abby. You don't just drop off your newborn just to lecture your teenage daughter who is too stubborn to stop dancing when she's clearly injured. They worked out everything thanks to a simple phone call and Kira didn't have to leave her baby right after birth.

In my earlier comment I was saying only moms can feed newborns because @cats with corona said the dad should know the timings of when to feed. So obviously, the dad can't do some things.

I actually can relate to Kalani a lot. When I did Cheerleading in 8th grade, my coach didn’t condition us enough and I hurt my back. I had to quit the team, I couldn’t sleep bc it was so bad, it was awful. It was like muscle spasms on my right lower back. I got physical therapy and the pain stopped, but now, even 2-3 years later, I still get pain when I sit or stand for too long. Because of my cheer coach who couldn’t have cared less about me and my unsupportive teammates who were mean popular girls, my back won’t be the same. 😔
